Freezes on iOS 11; Support was terrible toward my very legitimate question – Weight Loss Running PRO Review

UPDATE 11/14/17: I wanted to give the app one more chance so I tried today’s update. No go. App still freezes, and only way to get it back is to REBOOT the phone. Killing the app doesn’t work!! I didn’t think Apple even allowed that!! And the Apple Watch part of the app is HORRIBLE. The time doesn’t stay in sync with the phone at all!! I don’t understand what the developers are doing; I’m sure they’re working hard trying to make a good app but what gives here??? Sorry developers, I give up and will now be deleting this app for good. I really wanted this to be my go-to running app, but there are so many better ones out there. (Nike NRC+ has been amazing so far, and it’s completely free without trying to charge you for premium “features.”) UPDATE 10/22/17: reducing my score from 2 stars to 1. Today the app froze to the point where killing the app didn’t do any good. I had to completely reboot the phone for the app to start working again. All this while I was right in the middle of a sprint. Absolutely terrible. I will bump my rating up when/if this is fixed. Original Review: Ever since I updated to iOS 11 this app freezes at least 3 times throughout my run. This happens every workout since updating. Worse though is my recent experience with support. I opened a Support ticket b/c I don’t understand why when I completely stop moving, the calories continue to count up (rapidly). No other running app works this way. I told them that I can literally sit in one place for upwards of 10 minutes and the calories burned metric will continue to count up quite quickly the entire time. Their answer: “Many metrics about your workout are taken into consideration to calculate calories burned.” I felt like I was dealing with a robot. Upon telling them that their reply didn’t answer my question and that all other running apps work as expected in this regard, they literally replied and told me they couldn’t help me with my issue. I wonder if my experience would have been any different if I were a paid subscriber. Thing is, I explained to them that if they couldn’t at least acknowledge the issue, they were going to lose the potential for a longtime paying customer b/c of how I otherwise thought the app had something unique to offer. Guess they couldn’t care less about that! Going back to Runkeeper.
