Got two things right but the rest matters – Keelo - Strength HIIT Workouts Review

Update: I added one star for two reasons. One, it appears you can hit a refresh button on your today workouts to have the app suggest something different. Two, coach and development team responses indicated that they have a different philosophy on working out tired muscles. I haven’t researched this but I’m sure there is something out there that supports their claims since there is something that supports every claim out there. You still however cannot see your schedule in advance and can not customize it yourself. I will continue to evaluate but my legs are killing me. It’s unfortunate that I felt compelled to write this review because I really like using this app. I’m still in my trial period so I’m still evaluating it. The exercise selections are great but the best part is the timer and workout tracking on the Apple Watch. Once you select them and learn the sets from watching the videos, you don’t need the phone anymore. The watch gives you a 5 second vibration countdown when you approach the beginning/end of a set and you keep going. Once your done it asks you to input your weight or time and your done. This part is done very well. The problem is with the personal trainer and scheduling part of the app. First, you don’t know what your workout is going to be the next day. It won’t tell you until that morning which can be frustrating in and of itself but what makes it worse is that it doesn’t recommend the right exercises. The first day I used it, it recommended a squat strength exercise then the very next day it recommended a conditioning exercise with two variations of a squat. My legs were so soar from the first day there is no way that is the right recommendation. I sent a message to the trainer who was quick in responding the first day when I asked about the scheduling but this time I didn’t get a response and I believe it’s because there was not much she could say. The app recommended the wrong exercise. This would be less problematic if you could modify your schedule but as far as I can tell you can’t do that. I’ll prob continue to use this for the trial period because it really is a great companion to the workout but I doubt I’ll sign up especially since the personal trainer part is very flawed.
