I have a lot to say – Sword of the Elements Review

I'd like to start off by saying that I genuinely enjoyed this game and felt it was worth the time and money I spent on it. The plot and concept is very interesting and I got hooked right away. That being said, this doesn't feel like a polished work; it doesn't feel finished. There are a TON of grammatical and spelling errors (sometimes to the point of being unreadable but mostly just distracting). Relationships with individual characters are shallow at best, especially the family of your character. The most damning thing of all, though, was the fact that one of the characters either dies or isn't brought up throughout the rest of the game (depending on your choices). Yes, this could be a setup for a sequel, but more than anything it's really annoying considering how shallow your character's relationships with the other characters are. Not only that, but it makes it glaringly obvious how unnecessary the character is in the entire game (you could just have an already existing character do the few plot relevant things they do with no difference whatsoever). If I'm honest, I probably want to like this game more than I actually do. The issue is that it reads more like a (very, very) rough first draft rather than a complete story. It needs cleaning up: fix the grammar and spelling, add more meaningful character interactions, and make sure what's being written is actually relevant to the story (sometimes it felt a bit scattered). If those things were to happen I'm sure this would be a 5 star game:)
