Worth Every Cent or Eye Scorching Ad View! – Overcast Review

I use Overcast for literally more time each day than I end up using my own feet, so when I saw that it had added banner ads and the option to remove them for only $10/year, I jumped at the chance to upgrade to "Overcast Premium" as it's all too often that great apps disappear or stop working due to lack of funding. Overcast is hands-down the best podcasting app available int he app store - it's designed well, runs well, and includes the amazing "Smart Speed" setting that turns every podcaster into a Gilmore Girl by removing some of the silence between words which is a much more pleasant speed bosting experience than just playing the audio faster as most podcasts do. Audible needs to license this technology so I can burn through audiobooks as fast as I do podcasts. Seeing a banner ad is literally the worst thing that could happen to anybody anywhere and I can only assume that the folks who are complaining about them didn't see the option to upgrade to Overcast Premium which is a steal at twice the price.
