Great Dev, great app, all free

This is one of the best if not the best podcast apps out there right now. The app is completely free and it offers website so you can listen on the pc. I haven’t tried pockets cast so I can’t give a comparison. There’s a subscription to remove ads for $10 a year, but the ad banner is small so mostly optional. Give it a try!
As good as ever

Just switched from 2 years on android and this was one of the apps that gave me a warm fuzzy feeling. There were some that didn’t, there was default apps, restoring my WhatsApp chat history, the lack of a fingerprint sensor, on and on, but Overcast was worth it.

The app has degraded over time. In your face ads. The author has TDS. How the respected fall...
It used to be great. Not it’s “only” very good.

Overcast has been my podcast player of choice for the last five years. I love its audio engine, I love how the library works, I love Smart Speed and clip sharing. But recently it seems like Marco has kinda fallen out of love with Overcast. Maybe it’s the beach living that got him more focused on more important things ;) The app badly needs a redesign, it looks dated compared to competitors. iOS 14 widgets are missing, a Mac app is missing, themes are very limited and finding a specific episode by a key word from its show notes constantly fails. I hope the promised redesign comes soon and strong, otherwise Overcast will not deserve the five stars I’m giving it now.

Apple keeps making unwelcome and nonsensical changes to their podcast app, I should have switched a long time ago.
Can’t reach iCloud on iPhone 12 pro
Yeup it's that good
Unfortunately I can’t sync my account from my previous phone because of an error: “Could not check for existing accounts”. I am of course connected to WiFi and logged in to iCloud so I think this is a bug.

Really great app. I love that I can send podcasts to Apple Watch. I live going on walks without lugging the phone. I’m not a big fan or subscription based apps, I prefer to just buy the app. I paid for downcast which I really like but no support for the Apple Watch was a disappointment.

I disliked the changes made to Apple podcasts. so I went searching and found this. I absolutely love it, the additional options that overcast adds make my podcast experience much better!
