The best way to hail a taxi in Athens – Beat Passenger: Find your ride Review

Taxibeat is a terrific app!!! We use it daily to hail taxis all around Athens. Even if there are a dozen other taxis in front of us, we will still use Taxibeat. Why? Because, first of all, they screen their cars and drivers and we can expect to consistently find a clean, well maintained taxi with a courteous and professional driver. The taxi-meter is always on and a receipt is always printed by the driver (a copy is emailed to you as well). No need to carry money with you because you can enter a credit or ATM card on file. Also, if you enter your destination, you get an estimated fare before you hail a taxi. This app in my opinion has a major advantage over Uber, because you have the option to select a taxi from a list of taxis nearby (you can see a photo of the driver, the year and make of the car as well as the user rating of the driver), instead of just having the nearest taxi sent to you (which is also fine).
