It can only get better – Slack Review

(I use this on my iPad mini and iPhone 6S) I use Slack to interact with several teams – two of which consist of over 200 employees/students. It's become our standard platform of rapid-fire communication and collaboration. From inter-department communication to small-group planning and updates, it has found a way to integrate into all our regular functions. Slack in-and-of-itself is a powerful tool and platform, and the ability to access it on your phone is really convenient. You can still make '/' calls to bots and applications integrated into channels. Uploading files, changing/creating/moderating channels, private user-to-user conversations, emojis and reactions, and notifications are available and just as easy to use as the browser or desktop versions. Now, I do have a few issues with the app, but strangely I have never had it crash on me. First, push notifications can be a bit slow; sometimes it can take up to 15 minutes before you receive an alert from a channel mention or other criteria you have set. Second, 3D-touch features are a little lackluster, but this may be due to 3D-touch still finding its way into practical purpose. Changing teams isn't really something I need to do, but addressing or jumping to a source of an alert would be much more helpful. This could definitely be improved. Finally, some fields for editing your personal profile are missing. I can change my photo, name, phone number and Skype from the app but I can't set my Github account like I can from the desktop version. (Why Github? Why not Bitbucket or a private Gitlab that my company might be using?)
