Speak it, and it will be ignored! – DejaVoice – Transcription and Voice Caption App Review

I'm curious. Why would a company try to develop an app that already exists as a feature within iOS powered devices? One could understand, if Apple used inferior technology to implement substandard voice recognition technology, but this is one of many features that stands out, and is recognized by those in the industry to be the gold standard in voice recognition, a standard many companies have long sought to emulate. It seems it would make more sense to add value to this unquestionably easy to use technology made available by Apple. Instead, DejaVoice adds a different and poorly implemented user interface atop the Apple technology, and claims, that somehow, they've made it better. In my experiences with DejaVoice, when it functions, it makes the easy, more difficult, and takes advantage of users who might not realize they already have the very same technology built in! Many apps which are used to create text, whether it be a note, or a novel; even a screenplay, already use the iOS provided superior voice recognition technology to write the words that may be the source of their next bestseller, movie script, or shopping list! If you feel a need for such an app, I recommend that you get to know and understand the capabilities that your iPhone, iPad, or other iOS device offers. Apps such as this make it clear that some might not recognize the incredible technologies which are made available by simply powering up their device. There are numerous free tutorials provided by Apple, and even excellent third-party books which will open your eyes to the power of the amazing tool which you hold in your hands!
