doesn't work on new phone/updated iOS on mac – Volume Control for Mac (ad supported) Review

used to use this app on older phones & loved it. seems to have stopped working sometime after either a phone update or systems update on MacBook. Now have a new phone and trying to reconnect to MacBook and it's not working despite following instructions. ?
