I downloaded several magazines to read on a car trip. Now, none of them open. Used to work great!

The service to borrow magazines through the library is fantastic. But the app has many issues that take away from the reading experience. I don't understand why there is even a bookmark when every time I open the app it opens the magazine at the beginning. I can't search or scroll for the last place. Nor does it show up on other devices. In fact I need to download each magazine to each device. Perhaps kindle has spoiled me but this doesn't measure up.

Since May 2017 zinio app for libraries for iPad only downloads 60% of the magazine and then hangs. I have been using the zinio app for 3+ yrs and the zinio app for libraries for over a year. Now these apps are not getting fixed for months. What a waste. Time to switch to their competitors like texture.

I almost love this app. It can randomly shut down, but for free magazines from the library I will deal with that. What is the most annoying is the inability to permanently delete something. They seem to love the fact that you can't ever forget that you one time thought about reading that magazine, so it is forever saved as something you will go back to. Imagine never getting to clean out your garbage and being proud of it. That is how this app operates. Don't subscribe to a magazine if you don't want it forever!

There are several magazines that I found that I like. Of course there are magazines that have been checked out and I suppose there are a limited number of subscriptions. Full magazines that I can tell and a wonderful service of the Charlotte Public Library especially for Seniors and people that only are interested in a few articles in a magazine. Would have been 5 stars but the one magazine I subscribe to wasn't offered but.... like it anyway for what it does have.

Zinio works just fine. RBDigital on the other hand is AWFUL. It is impossible to thumb through a magazine. Each page has to load. Why does zinio work fine and RBDigital is so horrible.

Zinio library edition was great. When I switched over to the RB Digital platform, it was unstable (crashed frequently), didn't have bookmark capability and didn't save my place in the magazine I was reading. Now I can't even open magazines (getting an "error loading" message). So it's unusable. I hope they fix these issues because the magazine selection is terrific. I miss Zinio library edition
