As a chromecast/Apple TV user, the experience is frustrating. Audio is frequently not tracking to the video, VOD forces you to watch advertisements and the interface is glitchy. Prior to using this service, I had a premium package with a major television provider and loved being able to go into different companies apps (HBO, Shotime etc.) and watch episodes without ads. The experience on these apps and the service provider app were much better and I am going to be switching back after this billing cycle. Alphabet needs to stop forcing ads onto every platform they create and let people enjoy content for the $70/mo they are charging. Also, it’s shady that their subscription is not displayed/charged through the Apple App Store- you have to log onto the web to see it. In summary, use Sling or a traditional TV provider.
Make a compatible version for older iPads!

Had no issues at all until the most recent update. Now there's no compatible version for my older iPad. Please make a new version that's compatible! The service is great, but I want to watch on my iPad.

Please add P2P and take advantage of the new IOS, it’s a no brained as it will work perfect on both iPhones and iPads.
Does not play nicely with apple devices

Unlike other live tv streaming apps, YouTube tv does not integrate with some of the key features of iOS. Which is disappointing because it’s the most expensive per month. The biggest one is not allowing picture-in-picture mode on iPad and AppleTV. Not having picture-in-picture significantly limits where and when you can use the app. For instance, I like to watch the news while doing a workout video. Which is not possible with YouTube TV on iOS. Another issue is integration with the Apple TV App. The Apple TV app is where all my iOS streaming apps are aggregated into one searchable catalogue. This allows me to easily see and search for content to watch, including live sports. I actually purchased another live sports streaming subscription just to get this integration. Because with out the integration I was missing live events. I could keep going but I’ll stop here. Being and iOS developer myself, I can tell you that the YouTube TV app seems to have been designed in a silo. Their UX engineers really dropped the ball on this one. When you make an iOS app, you design for people using iOS.
Latest update screwed it up!

Since this last update my app no longer works properly! It’s like you guys ADDED bugs instead of removing them! The screens freeze up and won’t rotate or lower to be closed. I have to literally close the app and reopen to get to a new channel on my phone! This STINKS!!! Not gonna keep paying for this crap!

Wow please could you fix the audio errors on the promos? They are deafening. Decibels which exceed regulations could get you into legal trouble. Please fix this so we can continue to enjoy your service. I don’t like that you remove channels without notice so please fix that too? Otherwise we like the service very much. It’s great to take on the road and use with Apple TV. Thank you!

Great until they increased the price 30% and dropped the regional Fox sports channels because of a carriage dispute with Sinclair. Get the regional fix channels back!
Blurry Live Streaming

Tried it out for the live streaming. Needless to say, I will not be paying $60 a month for this! I was using data so I wouldn’t have interruptions but I missed at least 1/4 of the game due to blurry picture and it cutting out for long periods at a time!
Version 4.42 has bugs

I just installed version 4.42. When using my iPhone 11 or iPad full-screen opens then closes right away and thereafter I can’t open full-screen at all. Also the app opens with closed captioning on even though the cc is set to OFF. Please fix these issues. Thanks!
