I've been a Yammer user for awhile now and have watched it mature. It works great now. The subtle improvements really matter.

We instituted Yammer about two years ago and every single employee in our small business of 18 people has access to it. Sales, service, accounting, parts, etc. It has greatly increased our communication with each other as well as with our customers. It is private, we can share files and reports and are up to date minute by minute. We love it.

Stream is terrible; it's hard to follow, requires all sorts of alerts to see what's going on in the community, and holds little convention with anything else on the market...typical MicroSoft--all downstream development.
