Forces me to reboot frequently

This app often stops working and effects everything else on my mini-iPad 4. It forces me to reboot all the time. Why can't they do a better job? The previous versions were not better, as well.
New version. Same problems

It's hard to keep writing one star reviews each time a new version of this app comes out. You know what else is hard? When you only have to do *one* thing, stream radio, and completely and utterly fail at it. At this point I have to assume it's purposeful in order to solicit donations. Embarrassing is the only word for this WUNC.
No local news on demand

The only thing I'm trying to find is a way to hear the local briefs that I miss because I have to listen to Morning Edition later in the day. It would be great to add that if possible!

I enjoy public radio and am a sustainer. I listen every morning and often during day and in the evening. Today, I could not get the app to cut off. To do so I had to delete the app. Previously, I have had the app start playing without any reason. On one occasion, it was embarrassing! I've had problems for years and even talked to the developer in Raleigh one time. I don't know if the developer is engaged now or not. After several years and I think lots of other complaints, why does this continue to be a problem? Is this a donated service? Listeners are certainly appreciative if the app developer is donating the service, but is it not possible to get this problem fixed? The app works relatively well otherwise, but it should not be necessary to delete an app to turn it off!

On my 6+, with the latest OS, it turns on and turns off fine. If that stops I'll come back and regrade. It has a lot more options than the old app.
Unbelievably bad

Downloaded the app for the first time, sits 'loading' for several seconds, then crashes. Have seen no other behavior. When will WUNC take its mobile app seriously?

Sometimes it loads and sometimes it does not. If it loses the connection for whatever reason you may have to restart the app completely turn it off turn your phone completely off and back on. Just an irritating app.

I've only used this on my 7+, always most current iOS, and have only experienced failed app loads/crashing. edit: App is functioning, finally able to open it and begin a stream, will report on use after some time with it.
