A real classic, but...

The performance of the game on the ipad tarnishes an otherwise great experience. I feel that the 3D backgrounds and other choices make this game run a lot slower than it should. The original Worms 2 ran smoothly on my PC in 1998. Team17 should be be able to get more out of the hardware here without sacrificing a smooth experience. Also, some of the graphics are a bit rough or fuzzy in places.
Great game, buy please fix multiplayer!

Please add Wi-fi support for multiplayer and fix connection issues - game could also run more smoothly - besides those two complaints, Worms HD is a great game, just hoping for some updates soon!
Worms? Sort of...

Although it is great to have Worms on the iPad, this is NOT a polished edition, at all. The controls feel clumsy, primarily because they are not well adapted to the touch screen yet, and somewhat dumbing the gameplay. The graphics, although colorful, are strangely SLOW! and a bit jagged, which is too bad, because one of the most memorable features of the franchise is their incredibly smooth and organic presentation. Even so, the sound and music of the game are great, as always, and the gameplay is at least passable, but not the great experience you get on other platforms. I hope there will be updates that fix these annoying issues with the game.

Another success team 17! I've been playing worms since 1996 and let me tell you this is the best game! And for only $2.99!! Wow... Graphics are great, easy to handle, jump and such. Only downer is the ninja rope! Kinda hard to work at first but hey, I just started playing on this one.. Get this app!

Hi all Thanks for updating Worms HD (I am a ipad user). But I can't play with my friend who downloaded Worms in his iPhone. Did you consider this problem? Worms HD and Worms do no not see each other with bluetooth. It would be better if iphone and ipad user can play peer-to-peer. Thanks. (5 star if peer-to-peer problem(iphone-ipad) is solved.) :)
Controls need serious work

I used to love these games but these controls are not nearly as precise as they used to be. Characters are difficult to control. Not worth any money until all of the bugs are all worked out.
great game - awkward ninja rope

Long time worms fan here and I have to say this game is great, almost worth 5 stars. The controls are well suited for the iPad and for the most part feels natural. There are two items holding this back from 5 stars. The first is the ninja rope; man was this bunged up good, totally unusable. There are a number of different ways they could have implemented this and it seems they picked the worst possible method. The second is lack of online play; online play is what made this game great back in the day and it is nowhere to be found. All in all, if you enjoy the worms formula and don't mind giving up on the ninja rope then you will find a solid and fun experience here.

The controls are HORRIBLE! I can't ever win due to the controls! And they don't even teach you how to use the weapons. Please add a weapons tutorial and PLEASE make the controls better and I'll rate this 5 stars.
