Very Satisfied!

Despite little gameplay, the story will definitely draw you in. The characters are all so lovable honestly, and I really like their designs. Sure the controls are a bit ehh- but don't let that discard you. Each and every character has a background and that is what makes them unique. The story has some cute moments, emotional moments, intense moments, and quite a bit of encouraging quotes said by the characters! Also, the voice acting is super spot on. This game runs very smoothly on my iPad and hardly does anything to the battery. I really admire work like this. I know it's lacking a bit of gameplay itself, but that isn't necessarily all that negative. Sure I wish there was so much more, but I am so invested in the story that it keeps me wanting to continue. So, I encourage you to journey with these wonderful characters and story. Please don't let the lack of gameplay discourage you. If you love a good story, this one will draw you in for hours.

Frustrating as I want to give it more stars.

So first off. The game is great. Graphics are great, story is great, game play is limited but fun. It’s definitely worth a play. My problems are twofold. First, while the game is well translated, there is a lot of background Japanese that isn’t translated so it leaves non-native players at a disadvantage. This includes some subtle jokes that are on screen but can’t be read. The worst of it is an entire song and speech that has zero translation. Secondly, as is a terrible trend among Apple Arcade games, it’s not complete and won’t have an update for 6+ months. That’s crazy and really gives a bad taste for the game. I don’t have any motivation to replay the game (it’s not necessary) and won’t have a reason (or reminder) to pick it back up again in 6 months. I’m not sure what about the Apple Arcade model encourages this garbage but it’s at least the third game that has been unfinished and has had zero content updates (including launch titles). Sorry WEC for getting the review from it, but it’s just a bad practice that doesn’t cultivate any kind of loyalty.

Not enough game play

TavieG

Almost all story, very very little game play

Fun From Danganronpa Creators!

While there are a few grammatical errors and less gameplay then you’d expect. This game is still really enjoyable. Fun characters, decent plot, overall pretty good.

Not really a game

gotem...

Basically spent hours just tapping through dialogue before I gave up. You play for like 1 minute. Literally 1 minute then like an hour of tapping through dialogue which is just boring so you don’t wanna read it. Idk how far I got. But I just can’t keep sitting here wasting hours of my life on a game that isn’t a game. Overall terrible.

Incredibly unoptimized

NicholasIVT

running on a new 2020 macbook pro 13", even at low settings & reduced framerate the game still runs poorly. Shouldnt be the case with a side scrolling platformer

THE CODE IS TO HARD

Surprisingly Great

This was made by Kazutaka Kodaka, Kotaro Uchikoshi and Takumi Nakazawa, three kind of obscure legends for their contributions to visual novels. (Danganronpa, Zero escape and Infinity respectively among others) It is only the first half of the game and yet so much interesting stuff happens. They show no remorse in whipping out plot twists you would expect to see at the end of a long story here. In addition, each twist is done with a beautiful simplicity, it rarely gets that complicated in its concepts or ideas yet surprises me anyways. In short, the story is GREAT. The characters are all pretty loveable and feel like actual kids. Surprisingly, the visuals weren’t totally awful, for me anyways. I was surprised by how well this ran given the full version also coming out on switch. I didn’t mind any instances of poor visuals that much because the artstyle and character designs were just sooooo good. The kids are so cute and emotive, and there’s a pretty hefty number of cgs/drawn scenes. The gameplay isn’t what you play this for, but it’s serviceable. The platforming/controls are far from perfect, but they do a good job breaking up story sections. I recommend it to any visual novel fans, at least to support these legends, and any folks who like playing games in their story. There’s not much to lose by giving it a shot and it’s less than 10 hours total. (9/10)

Incredibly fun but...

This is only part one! This is not a complete game. I expected to be able to finish the game but, alas. I’m just a little upset that I have to wait, but overall it’s worth it. I really enjoyed playing... so many twists and turns in the story. The plot is definitely not predictable. At one point I almost cried because of Aniki & Vanilla. There is also quite a bit of replay value, because as the game goes on you can make choices on where you go and the team breaks up. I don’t want to give any spoilers so if you are on the fence about it... just do it already... this game is incredibly fun.

Fantastic Anime Adventure

Simply put, this is a game worth your time. An engrossing story, well done art and sound design, it’s a great addition to Apple Arcade. It’s an adventure game, so your going to read a lot. Fans of Battle Royale (the movie), Danganronpa, and the Nonary Games should be downloading this now.
