GUI is annoying

partially unsatisfied customer

The search doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason to it. I search for start_kernel and it finds matches for "start" and for "kernel". Further there is no ordering to the results, it will randomly change on you while it's searching and it does not use longest match or path name to order results. It just gives you a smaller haystack. 3 stars because it's not all bad, I like having syntax highlighting and the file system navigation is okay. Finally I love the use-case that this app enables. If the author fixes those issues, this is a 4-5 star app. Would like to have vim color scheme support. Nowhere to respond to developer so modifying review: Turns out that the files eventually load, just takes a long time. I will try to hook up quicktime and make a recording to show you what I am talking about. The linux kernel source code repository is huge, so this might just be a feature (maybe the last 25 edits) loading. A UI bug causing artificial scaling issues (waiting for the history instead of loading history asynchronously after showing the code)? I updated the app but still find the search unusable. Its the fuzzy search behavior. I need something that searches for an exact string. It would be nice to have something like ctags so I could jump to definition as well. I understand the complexity in adding that sort of feature / the resource utilization required if you reindex so I know thats a hard ask, but if it is an opt-in feature, that would be nice :). My most recent search was for "#define __setup(" to find a macro definition, but it seems to ignore "#" because its probably a comment in languages like perl and python (IIRC).

Great Git client for iOS

newelememt

This app is awesome. Now we just need good front-end build tools for iOS and I can finally work from my iPad.

love it

thank you

This App is Awesome!

Official Unaxy

I will buy the official version eventually. I want to support this app.

Great way to browse code

Mike-9

Working copy makes it very pleasant to download and browse code while away from the computer. Connecting to textastic is a great way to make small edits.

Pretty decent but missing some basic functions

Teefs28846

Works pretty good for browsing source code, which is my main use for this app. I don't do much editing just reading, . Only gave it 4 stars because there doesn't seem to be a way to anonymously update your local copy of the remote repository without deleting and recloning the repository. I can "fetch" new changes but there is no option to "checkout" those changes. There is an option to "merge" whatever that means, but it requires you to create some sort of identity. It currently seems like there is no equivalent to perform basic operations such as "git checkout origin/master" at least not that I can see.

Best git repo editor

Josiah Sprague

Awesome way to interact with my remote git repos, and I can even execute JavaScript and see console logs.

Perfect git app

Tidyalbatross

Wonderful features I love the preview capabilities

delightful, solid, productive app

Mobilemind

A great git app for developers that keeps getting better. Solid performance & features. Excellent app integrations. Support for all the key repo hosts. I'm a huge fan of this app because of how useful it is to me. I think this is the best git app available for iOS if you're focused on getting things done on iOS. Core capabilities (clone, fetch, merge, etc) are rock solid and expand with each release. It has convenient integration with key repo hosting services like GitHub, BitBucket, GitLab and more. The app integration with with Textastic and other editors is both tight and fluid. Super easy to do basic edits "in-app" OR to smoothly round-trip edits with other apps for heavy lifting.
