I enjoy this very much. It is a perfect scrabble game.

With the imminent demise of EA’s scrabble, and the horrible replacement, scrabble go, I was looking for a better alternative. This is a well devised and fun game that fills my needs, although I do miss playing against friends. The computer is a worthy opponent.

Word Master is perfect for independent play. Paying for the “No Ad” version is worth the small cost.

Excellent options, such as not allowing computer to use oddball words that humans don’t use. Being willing to receive 8nputs is great, as with words that should be recognized Board design makes it harder to see possibilities.

The “S” game this is based off of is a nightmare on iPad. This is the perfect solution. Smooth gameplay and frequently updated. Hard recommend!

This is a good replacement for Hasbro Scrabble. It plays fast with several levels of difficulty. I dropped one star because there is no landscape mode which, if you use an iPad in a keyboard case, you will want. Fix that and its worth all five stars.

After reading so many negative reviews about the new Scrabble Go I looked at other options. This is a very decent alternative. Pro: has a nice unobtrusive “Master” icon you can click to find the better plays (not just the best!) you could have made. Con: when playing Pass and Play, you have to click the next person’s name before it will come up, so you get a look at their rack. Pro: nice feature of swiping to get dictionary definition. Cons: no in-game dictionary you can use to check if word is OK before you play. Also, the OK words are not conformed to Scrabble official dictionary. The ability to add 40 words to the game dictionary does not make up for this. Pro: nice interface and no distracting stuff, unlike, apparently, Scrabble Go. Pro: options include playing against the computer with ability to set difficulty levels, and Pass and Play. Overall a nice successor. If they fix the above issues I will rate it 5 stars.

HASBRO ended it’s licensing agreement with EA and launched a perfectly awful Scrabble Go app. I was delighted when I found this app. The play and versatility is even better than EA’s Scrabble app. I highly recommend this app,

If you are looking for a new Scrabble home, away from the abomination that is Scrabble Go, this is it. Finding this game during the final days of the original Scrabble game was SUCH a welcomed relief. I’d offer 6 stars if I could play random opponents (I understand that may be in the works?). Thank goodness for Word Master now that Scrabble EA is ending. I’ve been playing Word Master against the computer and with my husband. Hoping the developer will get the game online. The new Scrabble GO is really bad and I’ve been looking for a replacement. This comes close and would be fun online too!!!
