If you’re a good player of Scrabble, you will be challenged by playing Word Master against the computer. WM’s computer players are far better than Scrabble’s.

If you like scrabble you will love this game. No commercials. And plenty of cool features along with solid gameplay. Only thing that would make it better would be to have more than 40 words to add to the dictionary. (:

I’m good at this game and have beat the computer often enough. The odds are unfairly skewed when I play the computer for self enjoyment. The analytics are set and at the end it throws me a, k, h, g, q and no vowels. If this were an actual board game it would be called cheating. All thanks to the google analytics.

I had been a hasbro pro player for years, but dumped them when they turned greedy and stupid. When they made a classic intelligent game into candy-cotton drivel, I searched for a place to flee. Found Word Master and gratefully paid the $3 for what I thought would be a respectable refuge. This provides a clean, clear, and consistent experience—just what devoted word games players really want! Come on board, fellow refugees! Two suggestions: 1. Keep track of my win/loss record. I took silent pride in my 98% score over 1000’s of games and 3,000 bingos. 2. Give the option to use a couple of “best word” gimmes with each game. I liked tapping the computer to get me over a stump, playing at the expert level. But if those requests are never granted, no worries; I’m still a true fan!

The only reason for the 4 stars is because the computer response and score occur rapid fire fast! Please slow down the algorithm. I’d like to see how many points were scored. Otherwise, great game. I left scrabble go and will never look back. I also paid the 4$ to be ad free.

Love this game—it replaces scrabble for me. My only complaint is that it doesn’t yet work in landscape mode. That’s inconvenient on the iPad. I hope the developers will fix that.

I love this app and play it daily. However in recent months it has become absurdly woke, politically correct, whatever you want to call it. I am a very liberal woman, but I think refusing to accept words like squaw is ridiculous. The word exists. Having a game deny the word’s existence isn’t going to change society. Stick to the dictionary.

After playing this in the free version for over a year, then the pro, I noticed that the scoring is both inconsistent and uneven. I have used the same method for adding up the scores as the AI and there is a marked and regular disparity between how the AI scores its words and mine. Also, the options to limit bad draws (all vowels or consonants) does not work. The app needs serious improvement.

A fun challenge of vocabulary and correct spellings. I play this game against the computer everyday and it never gets old. In the hundreds of games I have played it has never crashed or acted unstable. Well developed and smooth running.
