My friend told me about Wildfire last semester and I was initially fairly skeptical about how informative it would be. To my surprise, it’s consistently exceeded my expectations with regards to sending me information. Over summer I was thinking about how cool it would be if my mother (who’s lives in Arizona) could be able to use Wildfire, and I was excited to see a new update from them where we could follow locations and receive alerts. I normally don’t write reviews, but I really appreciate that there’s an app like this that actually understands the plight of college student (where lack of information is the problem), instead of building out something elaborate which we may never use. Definitely recommending this to all my friends!

This is a great for people like me who are studying late at night in the library to figure out where crime has happened and to avoid those areas

Wildfire has been so helpful in keeping my friends and I updated with dangerous situations around us. I especially love the "maps" feature which allows me to pick my routes home!

As a college student, this app is AMAZING. I frequently walk home from the library or gym late at night, when it's dark outside. I live in a community with frequent crime, so I'm able to check the app before I go home to plan my route. It makes me feel safer going home and that is invaluable to me. The push notifications are the cherry on top that keep me updated whenever crime happens in my area. I have recommended this app to all my friends, and I encourage all students to use it! 10/10!!!!!

I highly recommend this app to everyone who feels unsafe walking around at night, or in a sketchy neighborhood. The app notifies you if there is a crime that occurs nearby, which then allows you to decide to either take a detour to wherever you're going, or to just come up with alternative plans to ensure your safety, especially for those who work late nights. I honestly feel much safer walking around at night with this app because now I know what's happening around me in real time.
