Crashes when opened

After updating to this version, the app crashes as soon as I open it. I'm running iOS 8.1.1

Kept getting emails about this app from a friend. Finally downloaded it to see what the fuss was all about and the app won't even open! It just keeps crashing. Not a fan.

Incredibly prompt and accurate safety information has made this my mom's favorite app on her son's phone. A lot quicker than campus notifications. I've changed my route more than once because of wildfire notifications and have grown to really appreciate it as someone who studies late into the night at libraries and regularly have to walk home at odd times. Would recommend anywhere where safety is even a slight concern.

I love that I get real time updates about major events in berkeley whether they be celebrity sightings or police activity. Here in berkeley, ignorance is not bliss. Im glad my friends and i have a resource that is reliable and improving with every update. I would suggest adding some kind of flag indicating that the situation has been resolved. This would be useful in situation where the post is "gun shots heard near unit 2". In this case, the user would not have to navigate to the comments section but instead see a flag on the post indicating that maybe the police have cleared the area or something along those lines. Just a thought for the team. Otherwise, very handy app that will be on my phone for a very long time!

Good, but bad recent update!

This was a great safety app until its most recent update. Now the "New Post" button covers important information, whereas they could have just put the pencil in the corner and called it a day. But the app's function is nothing like I've ever seen. It tells you about safety precautions in your area based on individual posts, and it's at the forefront of a lot of breaking news (it even has celebrity sightings!) Great idea for an app, but I hope in the future they'll move that "new post" button somewhere else.
