This app forces you to have notifications and enable location services in order to even get past the set up screen, no thanks.

I wouldn’t trust this app. I got an email from them asking me to download this app. I have no idea how they know my email. I have never heard of Wildfire or signed up for a mailing list.

Also it’s really pushy with notifications at the beginning. I’m not surprised that many people who download this will delete it right away since they have to enable everything to continue through the steps.

Great News Source for the Community

Being in a small community such as Davis, it’s really important to know what’s going on, whether it be a safety hazard or a fun event. This app does it all. It’s your number one news source and your chance to get information out there about something that you know is going on. Would highly recommend downloading even if you’re not interested in posting!! Also they have great customer service and are always looking to improve their app.

Got emails from my university email. Downloaded it, there were some prompts to tell me to put in some financial information. So I deleted the app. Okay then.

This app rarely ever works properly. I tried uninstalling it and now when I enter the code I receive via text, it simply doesn’t work. I’ve got an iPhone 10 up to date and I used to have many issues on my iPhone 6 as well.

I’ve been using this app for 2 weeks at UT Austin and it is amazing. It helps me stay connected about what’s happening on campus — the important stuff.. like when something scary happens on my route home, or when Matthew McConaughey shows up random. Highly recommend, check it out
