This app used to be great but now it’s garbage and practically unusable. iOS Contact Finder does not work properly. The app will not even recognize contacts that have their number associated with a Wickr account in the phone book. It will not just start a conversation with somebody who’s number is associated with a Wickr account. It used to work normally but now it doesn’t work at all and it’s pathetic that Wickr hasn’t fixed it yet. That’s why they’re losing so many users to Signal. I will not be using Wickr until they fix this but their devs are terrible and clearly this isn’t a priority to them so this app should not be a priority to you. Use Signal instead until Wickr fixes their garbage app.

There’s a bug where when you close app, notification badges don’t disappear even after you have checked the messages

Great app for secure and private messages. Love that it deletes everything 5 days after being read, and that no preview pops up like with text. This is one of the only apps I allow notifications for on my phone.

App works great. My only question is, why is there no video call feature for this version? Looks like if I want to video call, I have to download the pro version and use my email address, which I really don’t want to do.

In recent updates on iOS and desktop platforms (I’ve only tested on Mac and Windows), pictures fail to send, despite seeing them delivered. They just disappear after a regular send, without any custom expiry. As soon as the other party opens their app, they disappear, they can’t even get a chance to view them. This happens on iOS. On the desktop side of things, I’ve had issues with incorrect passwords, which are simply not true. Verifying caps locks were disabled, and ensuring the right password is utilized, it fails and wipes the conversation history. Sometimes it’s not until I uninstall and reinstall, that I can finally log in. But it’s not all bad. I love the end-to-end encryption. I like the customization of expiration of messages. Love dark theme on iOS, though it’s unavailable on desktop yet. But as with any nascent software, there will be bugs and can’t fault them too much for that, because they do seem to be working on them. Will continue to use as it’s basically the only messaging tool I can use with Android users, since SMS isn’t secure and iMessage is unavailable for Android.

idk if it’s a problem with my phone or the app, but I am on an (up-to-date) iPhone 8+ and it won’t let me click the sign in button on the login screen:/

Whenever I select pictures to send, they would be displayed as blank. These pictures can’t be sent - please fix this problem.
