I’ve been using Wickr since day one of it’s release. I’ve watched the app change for the good and the worst over the years. Unfortunately, we are at a terrible stage. Wickr has taken a huge step backwards with this “new design.” It’s lost many of the most important options, the shredder mutilated (and per the FAQ no longer shreds free space.), the fact you can no manger have a default destruction time, and many other issues. I’m very sad of the state of the app. I’m finding my self experiencing a loss of trust of the Wickr app at the moment. At every click they boast about respecting privacy. While they gutted the app of what made Wickr the king of privacy apps. I’ll keep watching it, but if we don’t start seeing the return of what made Wickr great... I might have to say good bye. At this time I can only say use at your own risk.

They should use the app before they publish it!!!

After a lot of hard work, they have finally made the app unusable on an iPhone. If you have a few lines of conversation, and now you need to reply again, the keyboard pops up over the area you need to be typing in, you can’t see what you are typing, and you can’t close the keyboard to send your message. It does work fine on the iPad.

First off, I really hate the design of this app. But given its high degree of security and the promise of a great update (after about a year), I had to try it for myself. What an utter disappointment! It seems they’re completely focused on their business offerings and have left no features in this app other than texting. Don’t waste your time; use an alternative.

This is the most clutch app for securing conversions. If you’re concerned about anyone snooping, or just general privacy, this is the app for you. Even better is the custom options for burn times and auto terminate times.

UPDATE: some civility restored however nowhere near previous functionality. ----------------- Thank you for removing the secure features of your messing app which set you above the rest. Guess I'm done here. -no longer warns of screenshots captured -removed protect pictures by press to hold -bubble messages take more screen area -cannot adjust message burn time from reply -picture markup hidden

Was great but then they updated and now the layout is more awkward, pictures are downloadable and it freezes all the time. Don’t fix what’s not broken

This Update Killed Me

It started with a group chat not being visible. Then it showed up on my desktop client. Logged out and back in, then the app started crashing on my phone. Deleted it and logged back in, same issue. I’d give it five stars because it used to work perfectly before this issue.

No icon badge notification anymore, i changed message expiration from defaults 6 days to 6 hours because it doesnt give me lesser option and upon log out and logging back in it reverts back to the app original default. Also i keep disabling the touch id on the log in screen and when i disable it and go back to the log in screen after log out, it s back on there. Please fix this! The app didnt really need any update. Ok so the touch id is sometimes there on the log in screen and sometimes not. Please give an option to completely remove it from the log in screen. If someone has an access to my phone, they can go and add their fingerprint for touch id and get into to the app even though i have it password protected. Also apparently on the android versions the notification of message from me says my my name "sent u a wickr" or something like that. That is no longer private. Also if u only communicate with one contact it will show in ur history and recents. Again Not private if someone gets in the app. Come on! UPDATE 09/01/17 - better update. But settings of burn out and expiration still default to original when convo is deleted. Please have the settings remain the same for specific person even if u delete the conversation. It s a pain to keep setting it to what i want each time i create a conversation UPDATE 11/12/17 - finally it s back to simplicity and perfection. Ofcourse there could be plenty of enhanced features but really I appreciate the easy to navigate app, no special effects or other distractions. THANK YOU
