I like using Wickr because it’s very discreet and secured your chat is been seen only between you and the person you talking with.

I wholeheartedly agree with another reviewer. There needs a way to verify that the person you messaged has ‘read’ your text. Maybe perhaps there would be a way that you could turn “read receipt” OFF in your own configuration settings... but I think this should default to a “read receipt” turned “ON.” I also believe that there would be a market for selling a pro version which included and encrypted file storage and encrypted’Contacts List” feature. I first started using WICKR when I learned (from a friend who does I.T. consulting to the FBI) that FBI field agents use WICKR to communicate, for texting each other, and calling for criminal informants. After I learned this, I used it exclusively to communicate with my co-workers. It works seamlessly with other WICKR platforms like Android and my desktop. What I do NOT like about WICKR is the telephone call clarity doesn’t seem to be as good as it’s competitor, “Signal”. However, having the ability to control the timed deletion of texts puts this for in front of its closest competitor “Signal”.

This is my preferred encrypted messaging tool. Over signal, riot(elements), briar, and the semi privacy stuff like imessage, whatsapp. Still cant get people to change messaging service if they already are locked in on one. So why would you choose this platform and try to get you clients, co-workers, friends and family on transfer? Well it works on all platforms. Android, ios, de-google, mac and Pc. You do not need a phone number or an email! It’s well supported, has rooms, or one to one and group. Updated regularly and the add features like files, contacts, and the power to move up to enterprise. Id love to see this app de-centralized and on f-driod. But for over all best for the in privacy thats easy enough for me and my family to use.

The app is no longer secure as it does not ask for authentication when you are running it in background. It shows the text in plain sight. After iOS 13 upgrade it’s bad. Please fix it.
