I like this app but there’s something I absolutely can’t stand: WhatsApp groups. While some of them are interesting to be in, most others are just a bother. - There’s no formal invitation to join a group. Literally anyone with your phone number can add you to any group at any time without your permission. Sure there’s an option to block or report as spam, but that means that any other stranger on the group now has your phone number, which shouldn’t be in the first place. - It informs everyone in the group that you have left. It’s like being in a room you were forced to enter and then announcing when you leave that you’re leaving. There’s no point to this. It is no one’s business whether I leave the group or not, nobody should contact me and ask me questions...except maybe the group admin. - It seemed like the most obvious solution was to mute or archive unwanted chat messages. When I mute or archive a chat, I don’t want to see any notification, whether I’m in the app or not. I want to be in control of the groups I’m added to. If you won’t give me an option to grant my permission to be added, then at least make it such that I can exit the group quietly without everyone knowing.

tengo un iphone 4s y se que es viejo pero me siguen apareciendo las actualizaciones de whatsapp pero sus funciones completas no me aparecen no puedo ver algunos emoticonos y ni dibuar en los estados ni colocarle emoticonos ahora bien se que whatsapp ya no da mucho soporte a estos celulares viejos pero mientras aun salgan actualizaciones para estos dispositivos deberian hacerlo funcionar en todo su esplendor por favor arreglen eso porque a pesar de que el iphone 4s es viejo y usa un ios de 9.3.5 aun es un buen celular y todavia falta para que whatsapp no de soporte a estos celulares

This is very annoying not to know who has sent the message and app insist to go to the app and open the message. Sometimes we do not want to show the person that we have read the message.. and just need a peep to see if the message is urgent enough to go and read the whole thing. Pls fix it.

The new update has take. Away my ability to see who the message is from unless I change it to show a preview, which I don’t want/can’t do for my work...quite annoying. All it says is I received a message
