I do not watch too much news on TV, the WESH app helps in letting me know what is going on in Orlando and elsewhere.

I’ve reviewed a handful of apps ever, but needed to write one for this. Content is fresh, mostly local. Like their website news is not updated after the initial story, and they don’t have the same news stories they had on air. The worst is on weekends the app blasts clickbait notifications that have nothing to do with local news and you can’t turn it off. I kept the app for now but disabled all notifications of news. The other bothersome, but important part of ads. When you get a notification of some urgent content like say a tornado warning, you have to watch a long ad before you view the news. I understand the ad setup, it this gets quite frustrating when it’s important.

I have deleted this app before. I want to have notifications on so that I know of weather alerts and breaking news that matters to the community at large. Don’t send me alerts about someone’s toilet exploding in a thunderstorm or other sensationalized headline whose only purpose is to get me to open the story.

No longer LOLing
I read the news on the app. I’m hoping to read about current events as well as news. That’s not the case. Keeping up to date on local and national news would be the best improvement anyone could ask for.

Less advs more content is very helpful in our daily lives. Please continue to keep the advs as short as possible, with the ability to close after a few seconds for the longer ones. I did notice there were no advs on the weather videos. Thanks for that! Live is working smoothly now too! Thanks guys. You are still listening and improving the app. Congrats for all of us!? Update 6/9/19 I use this app daily! I have seen the evolution of all the changes for the last 3 years. What I like lately is no adds before the live news, and before the weather alerts. The adds will always annoy me, but they are shorter. It'd be nice to close them after a few seconds. Overall the app performs great! I get all the info I need for the day, and the weather alerts are very helpful. TY guys?? Update4/2019 I notice no adds on the weather videos. That's great! Sometimes I need information quickly, and I don't have time to sit through an add. Watching live is now effortless without glitches. You guys are doing great! ?? 2018 No adds today for weather video. Yiy!? Keep it up!
