I've had this app for a while, but I'm finally put it to use this semester. I have a lot of online reading materials to attend to, and thanks to this app I get to read all of the quickly.
stops reading after a few sentences

I've used this app for well over a year and have even purchased it for friends. I use it for various types of documents (.doc, .txt, .pdf, etc.) two iPod touch and an iPad. Unfortunately, recent "updates" have resulted in the app crashing after a few sentences. I deleted the current app and reinstalled an old version from a backup which seems to be working. I rate the current version as NO stars since it does not work but I'd give previous versions five stars.
5 star, well thought out app with great voice

I like 5 star apps...so, I ALMOST passed this one up. Thank God I didn't! It's SOOO useful, it DESERVES 5 stars (maybe 6)! And soo well thought out. Plus, I was not expecting such a high quality tts voice! Pretty cool to say the least! This app has features other far more expensive tts apps I've tried don't have. I'm really impressed! Btw, I'm running the latest OS on 4s iPhone I can even continue using safari and, when I find a page I want to read, it transfers me to this app (the app itself has a wonderful web browser, as well, if I choose to use it) I believe it's the little things done right that make a great app...this app IS done right. Things like the native iPod controls on the app doubling as pause/play button for this. Things like customizable app settings. Things like the app creator giving an easy access link to his email just in case you need assistance.. You will want this app. Trust me. :) I've only had it for a short time, and already it's come in handy SEVERAL times! No more reading all that tiny print ...this is a time saver. And the best in its field!
Skips paragraphs

I thought this app was great until I started to realize that it would skip whole paragraphs and jump all over the place. Even when you highlight what you want it to read, it doesn't do what it's supposed to. Please fix this app.

I downloaded all of the free web reader and text to speech aps and several that we're $5 or less. This ap is by far the easiest and most reliable of all of them. It also has the best voice and smoothest reading including being better than the iPhone text to speech voices. Congratulations on an amazing ap. I wish it had a way to recognize other languages or to learn words but it is still my favorite and most used ap.

This app has the best text to speech synthesis I have ever heard. I am especially thinking of the male voice. The interface has both good and bad things. The good: it has an integrated browser where you can click on the desired paragraph and it starts reading from there on (no need to select the end). Excellent idea! The bad thing: the toolbar has too small buttons and they are also ugly looking. Please come up with a better interface - we don't need that much screen real estate dedicated to the browser as this is a text-to-speech app, just make the thing easier to use with fat fingers!
One paragraph at a time

With the IOS 6 upgrade. Seems that it will only read one paragraph at a time. Will not read the full page as it would with the previous IOS version. You have to keep pressing play for each paragraph. Very frustrating!
