Is "WatchESPN" app same thing as ESPN" app on Netflix"? Used to get former because I have Xfinity but now cannot get it and am only offered latter on Netflix

This is a great app if you are somewhere where there is no tv it’s like direct tv now but for sports it has 90% of the sports even superbowls,championships, and drafts. It’s very reliable. Don’t listen to the bad reviews I have been using it for years and no bad issues.$$:)
This app has deteriorated into a buggy mess

It used to be decent, but lately it's a coin toss as to whether I'll get to see what I want on ESPN3. Usually the first video of the day will play. When I press Done and try to select different match, I get a prompt to sign in (and a popup to do so). After I sign in (or, more accurately, am automatically signed in) and click on the second match again, the signin prompt recurs, and from there it's just a cycle. I could sign in 100 times but I never get to watch the second match. I've tried rebooting my iPad, but that doesn't change anything. Yet the next day, I am usually able to watch one selection again. The app is up to date -- maybe I'll try deleting it and restoring the older version I still have on my PC in iTunes.... Can't be worse than this....

This app is just a blood pressure riser. Absolutely garbage. I accidentally clicked on the wrong provider now every time I click “choose provider” it pulls up the wrong one and I don’t even have the opportunity to login and have a freeze on me like it does everybody else I know. Big time fail by ESPN. Expect better from the “world wide leader in sports”

I NEVER write reviews, but this app is incredibly disappointing. As a huge sports fan who is constantly on the go, I thought this app would be a convenient way to enjoy watching the games when I’m not home. Unfortunately, even when updated, the app is slow, freezes all the time when you’re trying to watch, and sometimes it won’t even open up the video for you to watch and tells you there is a problem that there is no solution to fix. So again very VERY disappointed.

I don't know why so many are having so many problems. This app works flawlessly on my iPhone 6s+ running IOS 10. I watch Formula 1 mostly and other car racing and there are no freezes, lockouts, or stuttering. My DISH network doesn't cover the practice and qualifying sessions unless it's 2:30am and with this app I can stream when I want.

85 percent of the time the app is not working or having issues and even if you can get it to work it’ll freeze up on you or just won’t work. Horrible app from a horrible company.

The game I want starts at 6. It’s 6:30 and it’s still not available. The only games available have been over for 2 hours. Unfortunately, this is happening more and more.

With respect to other reviewers issues and problems, I have to report flawless performance with this app. I didn't use the app for the longest time because I really had no need, but recently I have - and it's performed perfectly! I opened the app; found my provider in their list; logged in with my credentials (provider login); and was off watching live tv, replays and everything else with absolutely no issues at all. I use this app a lot now and literally haven't had a single problem. I do feel for others who have though...
