Pay to win, in blood. Like, you could buy a used laptop, and the entire Dawn of War series, for the INSANE prices of this game's IAP (Up to $99!). Required connectivity means either sucking up all of your data, or only when you are near wifi. Which isn't nearly as "everywhere" as the developers seem to imagine. Grinding for coins would be whatever, if I could play this game offline, at my job that doesn't have wifi.

First off, as everyone else has stated, to really get anywhere it pretty much forces you to pay money. ALOT of money. What's worse is as a person who has played this game on tabletops since second edition, it feels like the "dice are loaded". Way too often you'll get behind a simple chaos cultist with your Captain Astartes in terminator armor, attack with lightning claws...and MISS. It's mind blowing how 2 or 3 cultists with autoguns can kill a marine. Also, the game mechanics are really stupid...to change your facing, you have to move. Not just use a move card, but physically move at least one space...you CANNOT pivot on the spot. Seriously avoid this garbage, not worth any money or time

So, I find this game a lot of fun. However, the fact you HAVE to be facing someone to use a melee weapon (not to mention how much they miss, it's frickin' melee) is dumb. Literally, you have to waste an entire turn to face someone, then take damage, then you can attack them. Stupid... I've encountered some bugs as well. My low battery 10% signal came up and froze the game right as I was one or two attacks from winning. Lastly, the weapon upgrading system is absolutely retarded and borderline useless. Here's how it works in a nutshell. You have to have two of the same weapon to upgrade something, however, if you have one of your two weapons equipped in your deck than you can't upgrade it. So, you go to remove it from the deck for a quick upgrade and then the game tells you you have to have 30 cards to back out or it won't let you do anything. So you plug in a random card in its place and then have to back out, go to a new tab, upgrade, back out, go to a new tab, find the random card and remove it, then put your new upgrade in... Way better ways of doing this and EXTREMELY ANNOYING. Honestly, if all they do is fix the upgrade system, i'd be happy as a clam with this game. Until then, it will annoy the crap out of you... I wish I never downloaded it to be honest. But, I'll keep playing haha

Why do the game keeps resetting my pvp rank? Whats that about ? Dont want people to be earning in game currency doing pvp ? Pvp season..... It doesnt even reward anything.... Just resets ur rank back, and it takes freaking lots of wins to get the rank back in the top categories..... I dont know if they are ever gonna fix the card managing/upgrading system, wastes a lot of time and effort.

My progress got reset randomly... I got through the game without paying, I'm not gunna go through that grind again. Screw that. I was near the final level too

This game was fun at first, but then it became impossible. Terrible gameplay, insanely hard missions, and frightfully bad story and dialogue. I would avoid this game like the plague! I DO NOT recommend this game in the slightest. Please don't waste your money on something this bad. By the way, the reasons I don't like it is this: Boring, silly, stupid, and cheesy. Virtually impossible on the level where the sorcerer killed Gunnar. Positively sickening gameplay. and, speaking as a total warhammer nerd: CHAOS SPACE MARINES DON'T SOUND LIKE COWS WHO HAVE ALLERGIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game COULD be awesome, however like alot of folks have stated, they want tons of money from you in order to get ANY cards... Also the "loaded dice" feel another one mentioned is for real! Your characters miss in basically every scenario which is game tipping. 1 star, clean this game up! Way too much like the greedy new gw regime.

One, this crashes a lot. I have the newest, biggest, basest iPad and it still crashes after every level. Two, while the game play is enjoyable, overall, it is stupid. You get two actions, turning is an action and all the weapons are line of sight, so you have to turn a lot. So you can't do a lot. Three, it is very much a play to win game. You don't need to spend cash to play but if you want to level up characters You have to spend a lot of cash. Go play Deatherwatch instead. That game plays like the 40K board game and is much more fun.
