Ehhh

Great game until you throw in an impossible mission due to not being able to gain money to level up

Immersive

FirstbornIV

If you're a W40k fanboy, you'll immerse yourself for hours in this game and it's pretty much the only decent game on iOS

'Card Evolve’ mechanic needs to evolve

You got a lil something there

Everything else aside, the one thing that brings this game to a halt is the "card evolve” system. The cards play an important part in the game, they are essentially your way to move, attack, defend, and use items - game mechanic. Each card has points that add up to the amount of ‘effort’ used per turn, spend too much ‘effort’ each turn and your enemies will end up moving/attacking before you and may even attack more than once per turn. An interesting game mechanic. The unfortunate part of the game is your card deck. You ‘evolve’ the cards in the deck to get stronger, i.e. spend less effort or attack/defend more. So how do you evolve your cards? Well you need 3 of a type of card, those cards maybe scattered across your 3 decks though. So you may have 1 ‘bolter’ card in deck A,B, and C. When you go to evolve you have to pick a deck, so if you pick deck A, you can’t upgrade your bolter because you only have 1 card in THAT deck. So you have to switch out that particular card with another, yeah, you always need 30 cards in a deck, no more, no less. So you better remember which cards you swapped out in deck A and B so you could upgrade a card in deck C. Then switch those cards back when you’re done. Okay, now repeat that every time you get a new card. For fu*k sake man, you got a good game with some sh*t smeared inside of it, clean it up.

Too overly complicated - to be fun

JosephArthur

This game is deep deep into payment and overlaid with credit system and pay-to-play more than it is good experienced gameplay. The monetization system makes an enjoyable look of a beautiful game - into a time/money suckFEST of an absolutely horrible experience. - It's over complicated with a card system - too complex to enjoy ,even at the basic level - it ruins the experience of a in depth world of war hammer

Space wolves

Hellg13

Such a cool game. There should be more like this game.

Copy

Darth_Stryker

A LOT like Deathwatch, but here you have 20 minute wait times to use your squad mates (each has their own timer) that you can "pay to play" to avoid. Your attacks depend on what cards you draw (hope you don't draw melee while at range or vise versa).

Best Warhammer 40k mobile game

Gussssssssster

I have to say this game is a lot of fun

Pretty fun

Liquid MoTionz

Enjoying this app very much. It takes me back to my tabletop wh40k days

Beware

Tychaeus

This game is great, beautiful, and despite what others say...the card system is actually unique and very easily learned if given a little time and attention to the tutorial.... BUT: the ENTIRE experience is ruined...ruined..by the GREEDY monetization system which absolutely makes it impossible to progress your characters beyond a certain point. I would be fine with spending a little money...this is not my complaint, my complaint is that you can't just spend 5$ .10$...or even 20$ FFS to allow your characters some semblance of normal progression. Now..you can farm some gold from the pop matches....at the rediculous rate of something like less than 100 gold a match..if you win...BUT....for example..leveling ONE character from say level 3-4 coats like 4000 gold...and it goes up ALOT every level. Further down the line leveling from say level 6-7 will be somewhere around 8-10,000 gold. So yeah...there is a very HARD paywall at very early in the game. You can also just tell how greedy these dev's are by the IAP packages they have available...one of them is almost 100$ ffs...just stay away from this one and do not support these guys...because...these are the type of dev's that ruin what could be great games in the mobile industry...don't support this kind of BS.

Great Game

Bamatusker

I have always been a fan of this format. Although it has become very buggy with this last update with iOS 9.3.1 and has been crashing a lot. I wish the Forging was scaled a little better as well. Keep added no more campaign sequences.
