Support? Documentation?

PinBeak

I still have high hopes for what Bamboo Spark/Inkspace can do for my note taking & organization. However, I am disappointed with the lack of response to several customer support questions. Further, the lack of documentation beyond the quick start info is frustrating. I'm willing and able to learn how to use new technology, but intuition, trial and error is an inefficient method of learning.

Ink to Text Not Working

JB-124

The app redirects you to a wacom url to log in but the page doesn't render. Really limits the functionality.

Doesn't work

iynque

It starts up and asks me to sign up. Then loads a blank page. Worthless.

Funciona

Me gusta es fácil de usar y transportar; pero no entiendo cómo se supone que pinte de algún color lo que hago (como muestra la imagen de la caja). Ayuda si alguien sabe cómo

App needs some work

Bamboo spark user

This app has limited features. Unlike videos that Wacom shows to buyers purchasing bamboo spark, this app has no feature to highlight written text in multi colors. No feature to file the images under different topics, or tag them for easy classification. Registering for Inkspace cloud with google is not working. The page just lands up nowhere. The menu/help section shows a link to download another app called bamboo paper. Again, when u click on it, it reaches a dead link on Wacom and u get a 404 not found.

Usability issues and weak features

Kaj Amir

Navigation has no indicator of how to move back, no arrows and no X's. Via ESP or magic you have to know to tap the plain black header. Box of the Bamboo Slate shows color being used in app. I assumed this was in Inkspace because Bamboo Paper is not available on the phone. I was wrong or this functionality is hidden for some weird reason. Still functions at a minimum level for me but it is rather disappointing. I am not sure how long I will continue to use it.

Works perfectly

Ink to text good. Combine pages- terrible.

WriterGuy416

So it works with decent efficiency letting me take notes, and then capture those notes digitally, and translate those notes to text. It drops a page here or there, which can be frustrating, and the text recognition is decent but not great, but overall it does the job ok. It also can export to Evernote and OneNote and others. What would be Much smarter is if it let you export the image alongside the text into a single note - so that when you're in Evernote, correcting the 20-40% of text that it got wrong, you have the original right there. Where it fails is the "combine pages" functionality. If you take 10 pages of notes in a meeting, it would be nice to make that one note that is 10 pages long- and one export to Evernote or OneNote or whatever. Except that's not what combine pages does. It merges all pages into one note One Page Long, all on top of each other. So instead of 10 pages of notes, I have one page of gobbledygook. EDIT: it is apparently possible to go back and re "split" pages laid on top of each other accidentally. So at least the combine mess can be undone. Why on earth would ANYONE think that's the way "combine pages" would work??? Did this not go through a single user test? This might be nice for a one page note you started and then finished later. But that seems like a much weaker use case than merging multiple pages of notes into one long note. 3 stars for the core functionality working decently. Negative 2 stars for that monstrosity of a broken feature that is "combine pages".

Terrible.

You have to login to a Wacom account to get the handwriting recognition feature, but when you try to login, it times out. I've tried on my phone and my iPad, on wifi, on cellular, over the course of several hours and nothing. I can login to the account on my computer, so it's not an account issue, it's an app issue.

Unable to login

gorbett

The app is completely useless without being able to login. The Bamboo Folio is being sent back today. Hardware is good. Software is terrible.
