When I read, I used to write down vocabulary I was unfamiliar with and look up their definitions. Now I can just input new words in this app and play the game. This has made learning new words much more frictionless.

The creators of this app and the authors who write the definitions, examples, and etymology all deserve commendation. It seems an unlikely endeavor to make vocabulary fun, interesting, and accessible to nearly any English speaker. Yet they have done so seamlessly!

This is a great app that offers plenty of examples to show how each word is used in different contexts. It provides sentences for each word using examples from the news and media to help learn proper word usage. You can build your own lists or find and add lists created by other users too. This is great for anyone studying for the SAT, GRE, or other exams, or jus for avid students of the English language.

When I use this app, I feel like I'm talking with one of my American friends who teaches me words that I want to learn! I love the way they teach! Friendly, funny, interesting and so on.

I’m a writer, who is constantly trying to expand his vocabulary. There is no substitute for Vocabulary.com It forces you to “master” a word. You don’t just see it once and move on. They are meticulous in making sure you understand the work and it’s proper usage.

This app really does deliver fast results when looking up words. Love that you can quiz yourself on word comprehension-- it's exciting to high five yourself when you realize you are actually learning and understanding the words in context to the statements provided. Best part, sentences pulled from current news articles/opinion pieces that include the word you are looking up, is where I truly learn how to comprehend the words I'm wanting learning.

You can look words up, add those words to a master list, and then get quizzed on them until you thoroughly get what the word means. Very dope app.
