Today I purchased a tour for $192 on this app. I then attempted to load the tickets to my Apple Wallet numerous times. The app crashed EVERY time. The tickets never got into my wallet. I then chose to receive the tickets via email. The email from Viator says "This message has no content." People usually go on tours when they are on vacation, often in areas that have spotty cell coverage. That means if you can't reliably add the ticket to your Apple Wallet WHEN YOU NEED TO, you could be very, very concerned that you may have wasted, say, $192 on a tour. Viator has a "Help & Contact" section— a comforting beacon of assurance which a) isn't helpful and b) doesn't provide a way to contact Viator. Truly, it doesn't. So, I could't even use the "Contact" link to contact Viator to tell them the contact link doesn't work. Of course, Viator has a chatbot that force-feeds the answers to every single question its programmers coded (maybe 5?) into whatever question you ask. So, you can ask "How much does my cousin Bob's chicken's sister weigh?" (Yup, I did) and it will provide 8 links to useless articles in response to that silly question. I even asked chatbot "How do I speak with a live person?"– a reasonable, if naive, question...and that's how I got here. Viator has managed to combine the warmth of the internet, bureaucratic efficiency of the DMV and a dose of Russian-inspired confidence in the safety of my financial information into one easy-to-crash app.
Does Not Interface with Apple Wallet

Just finished a chat with Viator help. “At this time, the Viator App is no longer being supported and the functionality for Manage My Bookings is not currently available....the ability to add bookings to Apple Wallet has been disabled.” This was a primary reason I downloaded the app in the first place. It’s 2019, folks! Good grief.

This Viator app has been very helpful in planning activities while traveling. Last used it to find discount activities in Niagra Falls. Thumbs up!

Booked several tours through the app. A few I couldn’t get anywhere else, they were full, but on Viator I got them. Biggest shock was a last minute Eiffel Tower summit that I somehow found through the app. Highly recommend the app as it has many great options to chose from.
App is unstable

This app crashes on my iPhone X about 90 percent of the time. Most of the time it won’t open at all. The Apple wallet feature also crashes the app. Junk.

I have an updated XS Max and this app crashes every time I try to open it. Then I notice the version history. This app was last updated a YEAR ago. That’s a millennium nowadays.
Great Tours, Lots Of Options

I’ve used this app in several countries so far and have not been disappointed. The prices are competitive and the descriptions are accurate. My only concern is that they seem to delete poor reviews. Not everyone will love every tour. But the app itself works great.
