Terrible app. Works or doesn’t work randomly. Whenever it feels like it. Depends on its mood for the day. Some days we can’t connect at all. Most days it never disconnects the internet when I pause it. And forget about confusing the app more by adding in time restrictions. Lord no. That’s too much. This was a disaster. Not even worth $5/month. Verizon should have paid ME for the hassle.

WARNING TO IPHONE USERS

Do not use this app if you have an iPhone and expect it to be able to monitor your child’s texting activity. Buried in the instructions is this disclaimer (below) which basically renders this app useless for all families using iPhones. The lawyers made them admit this limitation on their web site but it’s not brought to users attention. You have to pour over the website and user support pagers to see this small admission of the limitation. This doesn’t affect Android users, only iPhones , but are we given a warning or even a discount for a lesser service? No. Third-party apps that use Over the Top (OTT) data (e.g. iMessage) have to be managed directly on the device.

Verizon changed the format so when you enter your phone number it automatically adds in periods between sections, so there’s no way to make the family app login match the regular Verizon app, so the app says that it doesn’t match and therefore is incorrect (phone # 1234567890 becomes 123.456.7890). Oh yeah and theres NO WAY to contact them about it so now I need to make an appointment to GO IN PERSON to try to get a refund.

This app is horrible. Always crashes my child’s phone, never restricts the items I select, allows internet/calls/texted while during restricted times even if not on the call list. Very disappointed and frankly a waste of time and money.

I don’t like it because I downloaded it and then deleted it and it still sends me messages and tells me my phone is get tracked by my parents

I cannot begin to tell you the problems we’ve been having since installing this app. I got the five dollar plan which done not have the locator that I need to track my daughters phone. I decided to get the premium so I can use the locator because it keeps messing with our Life360 app. Verizon locator is HORRIBLE! The map isnt updated, shows her not even close to where she really is and unlike life 360 there is no movement when she’s driving. I like this app because of the restrictions but I need it to make sure I can locate her if needed. So I have to choose between the two. Knowing where she is important to me. I guess I am have to hope she doesn’t stumble into some disgusting website? Disappointed!!!

This app has made me question use of verizon altogether. Once enabled, time limits are automatically applied and can’t be disabled. And when i tried to unenroll from the addon the time restrictions remained in place. It’s a nightmare, DO NOT USE
