Don't buy, too buggy

I don't think anyone is bothering to update this app anymore. It's been over a year (at least!) since I've had problems with this app, and they clearly don't care if it's ever fixed.

Needs an update for iPhone 6. No problem for years, now it freezes up. Does anyone bother to read these reviews? The app designers certainly don't.

It is unbelievably disappointing how long this app hasn't been seen to. It used to be a great way to exercise the brain and pass time, but now?! A total dud. All aforementioned glitches and problems have happened on mine as well. Calling out to the creators of this app! Please make it awesome again!

Game crashes every time

In the current iOS, the game crashes EVERY TIME a puzzle is completed. I wonder if this is an indication of how other things are going at USA Today. The interface is fine when it is not locked up. Being able to download the daily game is nice.

USA today no longer supports. However, I have discovered tricks to allow use without the App hanging up. 1) only use the menu when you check for errors. 2) when you check puzzle for errors make sure there is one, change an S to a Z for example. It only freezes when all letters are correct. 3) #2 applies to finished puzzle, so insert an error early and when you finish use menu to check. 4) if it freezes close and reopen, it will come back to where you left off.

Come on guys - UPDATE IT! Landscape doesn't work, freezes, crashes, etc. I'd even pay (a little) for an update at this point. You used to have the Best crossword app in the Shop. GET IT?

App used to work well years ago, but has become buggy and outdated-- it freezes whenever a puzzle is completed. I have to force quit the app to reset it after every puzzle. Needs an update. I will revise my review if this problem is addressed.

Where's the puzzle??

An attempt to download a puzzle results in the app closing. Is this the end of this long unsupported app?
