What a handy app for cash back

My first gas purchase did not process successfully so I wasn’t too sure about this app. However, the next handful of uses went perfectly and I was able to Cash Out over $17. Cash back is always a great bonus for me :) Recommend

When it works it’s great and easy to use, but that’s only about 1 in 5 purchases (I’ve only used it a gas stations so far). The rest of the time I get emails saying my cash back couldn’t be processed because they can’t find record of the transaction. I missed out on a handful of cash backs, before I learned to print and keep a receipt for each transaction so I can respond to the rejection email with a picture of the receipt. I get gas 2-3 times a week so it’s a bit of a hassle and waste of paper. They will usually process the cash back once I send them a copy of the receipt (not sure why they don’t just let you upload it from the start to save time)…but even then it’s done outside the app history so it’s hard to tell if they really do it and it’s usually after you’ve already waited about 3 weeks. I’ve also had one transaction that I’ve emailed them about 6 different times over the last 2 weeks and have yet to get any response to any of the emails. I’d like to give this more stars because the cash back is great, but there is too much extra work done on my part just to make each transaction process when the app has the ability to make it easy if it worked properly.

I filled up 3 times in the first week of downloading this app, did everything correctly and was told they didn’t qualify
Can’t open my old account

Can’t open my old account , I tried to reset the password and I open it but everything was gone. Help center is helpless, doesn’t work.

I love upside but lately about every other transaction doesn’t go through. 4-5 months ago I didn’t have any problem but lately it doesn’t work and it’s very frustrating because I’m losing about half of the money I should be getting.
Rebates worse than store rewards

Was excited when the app let me redeem two large rebates the first day. At this point though the rebates seem to average $.02 to .03. Multiple gas stations offer $.03 just for being part of their reward programs. Not sure I understand the point of adding a third party to the process. I’ll keep checking for a few weeks to see if it ever seems worthwhile again. Until then, this is an extremely generous 2* review. Especially given the fact the app is not intuitive and is somewhat difficult to find rewards you know exist.

I do love this app it is a very slow way to “make” money on something you have to buy. Now the commercials definitely over exaggerated the amount of money you can make. However in my opinion I’m getting some money back for something I have to buy GAS that I can spend on something I want. Example: I have had the app for a year now and made 73 dollars. I am now using 40.00 dollars of that money to buy some shirts for myself which I NEVER spend money on myself. However since I’m using some of my money from get upside Idon’t feel bad spending money on myself so I love the app

4 out of 5 receipts scanned they conveniently found issues with and they were my larger purchases of fuel. Do not waste your time with this app. Garbage
