Tune-In keeps pausing in the background.

I have Tune-In set so it does not pause when it’s in the background. I double checked this setting. It kept pausing in the background, so I deleted in and reinstalled it. The problem came back today. I deleted it and reinstalled it and it seems to be working now, but this has happened twice in the last couple of weeks.

The somewhat short and maybe not so simple: 1 - Waaaaaaayyyyy too many ads now. As others have mentioned it’s one thing to place adverts between changing stations it’s just plain annoying whenever an app ad just pops up in the middle of a broadcast or when a stream is buffering. Even Pandora and Spotify have fewer ads and interruptions than TuneIn. I’ll be happy to pay a one time fee to use the app but sorry, $10 a month for an ad free experience is simply too expensive to me. 2 - Why are the custom links still not working within the mobile app or on the TuneIn website? C’mon devs you already told me you were aware of this but it’s been well over a year now. You may as well say you’re no longer supporting custom links. Basically I’m at the point of just looking for something else like myTuner Radio or the radio station’s own app. It’s a shame because I’ve been using TuneIn for many years but thankfully there are alternatives.

We had an accidental signup by a family member and the amount of spam email after you have cancelled is ridiculous. We also paid $15 for a month of deleting emails and not using the app.

Too many ads. You can never tell which local channel is playing what sports game. My local channel with the Chiefs post season game, The Wolf, isn’t available on here. Check a new channel for a game - listen to a bunch of long dumb ads about things I don’t even want. They just want you to pay a ton for something premium that won’t work. Con job radio.

Have to install app to find out it is not free. App store search for "free radio apps" lists it 1st, says "editor's choice", and it is not free. If that helps before taking the time to install and uninstall it.
