I like that I can listen to local radio from other regions of the country. The app works well on my phone and sonos. However I dislike their ad model. If I switch from Bluetooth to my phone speaker, I get served a 30 second ad. I also get served ads any time I open the app or switch channels. That is frustrating when I am listening to car radio and want to continue listening to the program via my phone after getting out of the car.
Tune it up with Tune In - great job guys - anywhere sports news or pure entertainment!
Recently it only plays the same program from some days in the past and I am unable to listen to today’s program. Was only able to fix by deleting the app and reinstalling, but problem returns after some time. Tested on other apps and it is not an issue, so it must be a problem with the TuneIn app.
This is an app with a very outstanding service, I have used it constantly since discovering it.
I like that I can use Tune in to get to podcasts I want to hear without jumping through hoops. There are probably features that I do not use, but I don’t miss them. The only drawback I have found is that occasionally the podcast seems to go into fast forward uncontrollably, but it seems to me to be a rare glitch that perhaps will be corrected in the future. It is still worth it for the ease of use. It is also helpful that I can turn off the screen and continue to listen, unlike YouTube.
I don't mind the ads on free app but about three weeks ago it quit working after 10 minutes. Have to exit and renter app to make it work. Happens constantly. After about three times it quits completely. Help site tells you how to adjust buffering but there is no way to do in the free Tunein for Roku app.
The 92.3 The Out Law is the best radio station I have ever listened to in my 82 years. I do my exercises to the music. Thank you.
I used to like this app and happily listen to some ads mixed in. Now they play a truly ridiculous number of ads before you can hear anything. So you’ll listen to literally 10 ads before a station starts, only to discover it’s the wrong station (impossible to know whether a channel is sports talk vs actually having the big game, for example). So you’ll try another station and have to listen to another 10 ads. I don’t begrudge them for having a business model, but this is way out of whack and outright hostile to users.
