Rendered unusable due to increased advertising interruptions

robgoose1

It was already a little problematic that TuneIn inserted ads into public or nonprofit radio stations. But at least they only appeared at the beginning of a feed. TuneIn now interrupts radio feeds with unskippable ads— and frequently. This is a truly unacceptable change to an app that I have used for a good 7 years or more. The ads are loud, long, and sufficiently irritating for me to decide that using the app is no longer worth it— and not worth a paid subscription when there is an endless list of other apps, services, and content providers competing for my subscription dollars. I understand that they have bills to pay. We all do. Going forward, I’ve simply bookmarked the websites for radio stations I listen to; it’s an easy workaround. TuneIn, unfortunately, has evolved right out of useful enjoyment. Best of luck to them.

Used to be great too many ads

Yes I understand that this is free and that I must listen to ads so they can pay bills. However having said that in the past you would get an ad every abojt three times you switched stations. which was fair I guess. Now you get an ad if you try to switch any stations AND if you try to minimize the app during ad like you were able to do before it forces you to leave it on so you not only here but see the ad. There are way too many ads at this point and it’s a big hassle and $14 a month is too much for no ads.
