没有简体字 no simplified Chinese language option

Xiaomi Air

Pretty foreigner friendly, but wish there was a simplified chinese language option

Its a scam.

Fgfghhghhc

Prices are ridiculously high. Same flight from the direct airline is 300 dollars cheaper.

Was This App Debugged?

DSmith8

I’ve recently encountered 2 serious issues with the Ctrip systems and the iOS iPad app. 1) some where in the recent past a change to the user data base screwed up my name. Fortunately I spotted the error in my name (western) prior to attempting to go through security with an erroneous boarding pass. After bringing this to Ctrip’s attention they eventually (not without encountering initial resistance from customer support), recognized that their system was at fault and taken financial responsibility for the error. 2) Simply resizing a hotel map loses all the hotels! How did this version of the iPad app get into production with such an obvious error? It appears to this old IT professional that Ctrip fails to take their obligation to deliver system operations and software development seriously enough.

Fantastic

I’ve never written a review for an app before but this has been a wonderful experience, which was especially important so far from home. :)

C-Trip is not getting any better

Sherretz Family China

We have always had a problem with CTrip. This new app is not better and is actually worse than the old app. Many bugs in the software, prices changing during booking process, the fare you select not available when time to pay, selecting a route and fare then that fare does not show on the next page unless you chose to show more fares, WeChat pay link does not work and opens up other apps on your phone, flight information not correct, very slow to update customers with schedule changes..... and the list goes on. We’re looking for a good site so we can get away from this one.

Frustrating Customer Service

I recently deleted this app after using it for several years because I simply couldn't deal with the customer service. I've had several poor experiences dealing with them, but the most recent example was the last straw. Last summer I booked a round trip flight from Shanghai to Chicago which I later had to cancel. When I called Ctrip the representative only told me the flight was non-refundable, implying that there was no point in cancelling. The airline however themselves promised me they would give me a new replacement flight within a year, with only a small rebooking fee. I said great, and the airline cancelled my flight directly. When the time came to book the replacement flight however, the airline needed to contact Ctrip to get some of the information about my original flight, like how much tax I'd paid on it. The airline was giving me the new flight; I wasn't asking for a refund from Ctrip. Ctrip refused to cooperate however, insisting over and over again that there was no record I had ever cancelled my original flight. They first told me it was never cancelled, then changed their story to say that it was cancelled through the airline but I couldn't rebook because I hadn't cancelled through Ctrip (which I hadn't done because they'd originally told me I couldn't get any kind of refund, much less a whole new flight). Finally they tried to tell me-repeatedly-that they'd already spoken to the airline and that the airline was on their side; effectively, they told me I was lying. The airline assured me that wasn't true. It took about a dozen phone calls to Ctrip and the airline, plus several emails, and about two weeks of frustration before Ctrip finally called me back in a cheery voice one day to say everything was fine and I had my flight. In the end I got what I needed, but what infuriated me was the seemingly complete unwillingness to cooperate. The airline even gave me the direct phone number for one of their supervisors and told me to pass it on to Ctrip so they could clear things up, but Ctrip didn't bother to call the number and instead just kept telling me that I was wrong. To be fair I'm sure to some extent this fiasco was due to honest miscommunication between Ctrip and the airline, but I just can't continue using their service after the amount of stress this caused. I almost lost a month's salary worth of airfare and a once-in-year opportunity to visit my family on the other side of the world. I've lost an aunt and a cousin to cancer since the last time I was home, and my uncle is currently undergoing treatment for leukemia. I think I'll book directly through airlines next time.

Awful customer service

I was having issues with the app and could not make a payment so I called on the phone and over three times in a row the agents were rude , refused to help me, and hung up the phone on me. I feel this is very unprofessional and those agents should be FIRED. I would not suggest doing business with this company.

Expat friendly

Apps supports English and makes travel simple for foreigners. I wish it would do connections for you, but as you learn the railway stations you can make your own connecting train travel. I'm grateful to have this app in China.
