The hotel was definitely on the newer side and more modern. We had the privilege experience which I would highly recommend. Our butler, Carlos helped give us a wonderful holiday vacation. He helped us provide information in booking our excursions, restaurant reservations and even more personal trolley rides that were needed to travel back and forth to the lobby. The room had a spectacular view of the jungle and somewhat of the ocean. But the jungle view was very peaceful. Highly recommend if you’re visiting the Dominican Republic!
Angel is the Best! Great resort, great food and service!

Last of the Legendary Hard Rocks we have been to and we should not have waited so long! Great weather, will definitely be back. Angel’s service around the pool is the best.

Movie Trivia Cruise

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our cruise on the African Queen. The captain is a fount of movie and steamboat knowledge, and it is quite the experience to ride in the actual boat used in the Huston/Hepburn/Bogart classic. The only thing that surprised me was, after all the talk of Huston’s, Bogart’s, and Lauren Bacall’s antics while filming on location, no mention was made of another of Huston’s classics, “Key Largo,” since the tour does take place in the canals and ocean off Key Largo.

It has taken me a couple of days to absorb my experience at La Gaviota tropical, if I had to describe paradise this would be it. certainly the nicest people, warm and accommodating Easy pace that made for a wonderful vacation. my passion is fishing and there was such a variety it was such a hard choiceTo decide between rooster fish , mahi-mahi or Marlin. the restaurant and food was superb. Every direction was yet another picture to be taken. I’m very tempted to move there once retired. I’d encourage any and all to go once to see and experience what I saw. I’d expect you’ll be like me planning to return. Thanks to Roberto and his wonderful staff, I told several that they may not know it but they live in paradise. Each a different character and each a big part of La Gaviota Tropical. Thanks to my new found friends, we’ll meet again. Signed Drew Robb.

We so enjoyed going to local restaurants for fantastic tacos and learning more about Mexican food. A great time learning more about all that San Miguel has to offer.
