Hate the notifications

Funky Monkeytron

It's fun but takes a minute to understand. But needlessly complicated movement. The pop up notifications have got to go. This app loses 2 stars just for that. Sorry. I would add a custom settings menu. It could let us assign custom content. - we could name the enemy empire - we could choose the icon for the enemy from a selection of icons - every reference of enemies would change to the name we entered. - we could name our ship - we could upload our own photos and assign them. Giving us this ability would allow us to fight Any enemy empire we want to like those "pointy ear" or "cyborg" type enemies. And name them what we want to, this way you have no liability for anything but opens up this app gor us to make it what we want to. I think that would really get interest.  GET RID OF NOTIFICATIONS 

Good Updates - still needs a little tweeking

Dtrasatti

Great update! Thanks for getting rid of the pop-ups. The game center addition is cool. One thing I noticed that might be a little glitch - sometimes when i warp to different sectors, it keeps telling me that i've docked with starbase (null) when there isn't even a starbase in the sector...

I give it 4/5 stars

Great Game / Version 2.4

Elisande

If you ever played the original then you will love this updated version. It plays like the original with great art and sounds. Also, 2.4 has fixed some annoying bugs that interfered with playing a complete game. No more null spaceports and no more vanishing enemies.

Ega trek is way better

Text prints too slow why not just have it all appear at once? Also needs to save text messages.maybe a drop down menu accessible via accelorometer? It can make the communicator badge noise when new text appears Pointing the ship to move or shoot is lame. Use a coordinate system. Also the slider for speed is difficult. It would be nice to have a +\- 1 and +\- 10 buttons instead. Use less buttons and more screen touch Has promise. Great graphics. Stream line the interface and this deserves a 5

awkward

i wanna see the photons and phasers on the map, and better instructions.

Takes me back

MjolnirActual

As a kid my mom worked with a bunch of astronomers who used to play the original text versions when the university's computer load was low. Was blown away to find out a port of that game could exist on my phone now. Great job. One request if it is possible, is there a way to skin the interface so that it could be a Original Series trek? Just a thought. Thanks again!

Trek but not classic

This game has a bit of a learning curve. The control panel is limited, forcing you to go down into submenus to access functions and to go back up to the main menu and into other submenus to access other functions. Meanwhile, you are constantly interrupted by status messages which take up your screen and require you to acknowledge to clear so you can get back to firing those damned phasers. This is important because this version of Trek is REAL TIME. So you are constantly trying to move your ship and fire your weapons with all of these status messages popping up and interrupting your actions instead of scrolling on the edge of the screen somewhere. Oh by the way the swarmers don't stay in their sectors like in old Trek they move across sectors into yours so they keep popping up until you run out of power and die or until you warp to a starbase. The good thing is that the long range scanner shows you everything to help this, but in classic Trek part of the fun was to fly through the quadrant doing long range scans which only showed neighboring sectors to find enemy ships and starbases. This trek reveals the whole quadrant so that you can run to a starbase quickly otherwise the swarmers will swarm and kill you. And, btw, you can't stay at the starbase because you have this impossible mission requirement of keeping them from destroying the starbases and planets. I was looking for classic Trek without the text interface. What I got was a video game with classic Trek interface and commands. This is not fun. if you want to make a real time game you need to make the controls simpler and more intuitive and get rid of those pop up status messages that require acknowledgement to clear.

Excellent game

Mojavegreen1

I remember playing this game (far less graphics) back in the late 80's at a friends house. As a fan of Star trek, this quickly became my favorite game. I love the graphics in this classic game. Thanks!! I hope someone creates a beter version of the TOS tricorder.

Money back, now!

Blaze Black

This game is not worth $0.99! Complete waste of time, no matter how much you read the instructions. Oh and every time I warp to a different sector to blow up enemy ships, I GET BLOWN UP!! And every time I try to use phaser power wisely, it barely hurts the enemy and if too much, YOU RUN OUT OF POWER AND FAIL!!! I will never play this game ever again, a complete waste if my time, and don't even deserve 99 cents!!!
