You are commander of the U.S.S. Protector, and it is your mission to defend the galaxy against the corrupt forces of the Krygons invasion fleet. The entire galaxy is your battlefield; which is divided off into 64 numbered quadrants. There are 8 rows of 8 to help you distinguish which aliens are in which quadrants, and which ones you need to focus on. However you only need to concern yourself with those intruders that inhabit the quadrant that you are patrolling.

Use the phaser and photon torpedo weapons in your arsenal to help you gain control over your diabolical enemy. Use your deflector shields to ward off attacks; and survey the battlefield with your long range and short range scanners. You can also use a galaxy map, or star chart, to get a feel for what lays ahead of you.
Trek Quest includes a trainee section and 3 increasingly difficult levels of play. The difference between the levels is the number of enemy craft which increase with the rank you select. The starting energy level of your ship and the remaining playing time also decrease as you progress from one level to the next. The trainee helps you learn the navigation of your ship, and how to operate the weapon systems. In this mode you start out nice and easy, with only one enemy and one star base in each quadrant. After you complete each quadrant, that sector will turn blue so you will know which areas you've already conquered.
Move about under warp drive or impulse power but be aware that the enemy is lurking, waiting to attack you. When your ship gets hit, your equipment may sustain damage. If that happens, the damage reports screens show the estimated time needed to repair your craft. If your rig becomes disabled, you can take a break at a star base and rest while your repairs are being taken care of.

A great game and a great idea to bring the classic game "Super Star Trek" to the iPod touch/iPhone platform. If you are a fan of this genre, you will love this game. By far the most enjoyable and additive game app I have played thus far.

The screenshots and art for this game look great, but its gameplay is stuck in the distant past, and not in a good way. The screen area is way too small and hard to see, because the phone-dial numeric interface takes up half the screen. Instead of leveraging the touch screen directly for navigation and other gameplay choices, users must use the keypad for numeric course entries. This is a missed opportunity to bring the old Star Trek mainframe game into the 21st century. I'd love to see an innovative input scheme that would be better suited to the iPhone OS.

The game is great but the screen area is way to small and it's hard to read. The developer need to chance the interface to make each screen independent or increase the size of interface. I gave the game three {3} star because the game is fun but it needs some work.

Fun game but it has some problems. There should be atomatic shields, you should not have to control everything with only the small interface, there should be something you can buy that allows for axilery power or just more power, the phasers are weak for the amount of power they use up, and it takes to long to get to the wepons after warping in to a different sector so you allway get shot first. The game is fun and has the next generation interface. I is a cool game but too many things to do for an iPod touch or iPhone, I think that it will be better if they creat a new improved version for the ipad that has a custumisibal interface so you can warp in and have the phasers or photo torpedes imiditly ready to fire. It would also be nice to be able to have more control like strengthing surten sides of the shields and transfering power to different parts of the ship. Also it would be nice to be able to choose between different ships.

After playing this game for a few hours my thumb is killing me trying to set the warp /impulse power it is so fregin hard setting it. Also game is crashing a lot evev after reset on 3g with 3.1 software. I really hope this gets fixed because otherwise it's a great game.

I love this game. Star Trek LCARs and sounds! However, it crashes at battle report whenever I engage more than one enemy. Fix that, I wud love it. Too many of my lunch breaks have been saddened by the crashes :( also, better and newer interface? This game has mega potential.

Love the game. Been looking for something like this for awhile. Need to have auto shields, assign power to different shield sides, auto photon and phasers, transport forces to damaged ships and tow to base for extra points, move arrows of section you want to fly to and move. Self destruct option, lock on enemies with weapons. Keep up the work. Would love to see some updates been awhile. Now needs update to Ipad HD and additional features.

I used to have a game for my pc called wintrek and this looked really similar. But it's not and the alert messages get annoying and stop the game far too often. Plus the sensors and controls don't make much sense. Glad I only spent a dollar.
