Trail tracker really helps get me out the door-- almost like having a friend waiting to walk with me. And as one of the directionally challenged I'm much more relaxed about being able to retrace my tracks and get home again. TT's GPS sensing is so accurate it even works as a parking app -- gets me back to my car in Costco's monstrous parking lot -- if I remember to start it!

I love the idea of this app. But it only lasts as a free trial for a week, then you have to pay to use it at all. Pretty lame if you ask me. Until they make it all free, don't get it.

In January I used this application on my iPhone 6 to track the flight of a long helicopter tour. It worked great. However, when I sent the “.ttmd” file to my iPad I hit a snag. Whenever the application tried to open the .ttmd file on my iPad, the application crashed...every time. Since then I have sent 2 messages requesting support but I have not received a single reply. This is the reason for my 1 star rating! More trouble: The TapTools server no longer indicates that I have an upgraded copy! Still no response from their "tech support".

I think I would like this app if it didn't crash frequently while on hikes. Big problem when using GPS to find trail routes.

Serves my purpose perfectly. Distance, speed, elevation, tracking, everything I was looking for. Better than the many others I tried, thank you.

I really enjoyed using this app! I ended up paying for it after the trial. With that being said, I agree with most people that the trial is a bit of a sham. I believe a better way to do a trial is to have a full version of the app, but eliminate the save and share capabilities. One thing that I would change within the app, would be to get rid of the slider bars for adjusting numerical values, and go with the number wheels, like in Apple's alarm clock, and numerous other apps. The slider bars are archaic and an absolute pain to get the value you want (especially when there is a wide range of values), because it is too touchy. It wouldn't be so bad if they had stop points along the slider. At any rate, I really like the app, and experienced no crashing (yet), nor did I find it hard to operate. I'm not sure what some of these people are complaining about. As long as the dev continues to develop the app, by making it better, I will continue to use it. Thanks! * 32gb iPhone 5 w/ iOS 8.3
