Works - but wasn’t originally a “free trial”

Bearcreekmom

This app works well - even well off the beaten path. Accurate and easy to use. Originally downloaded as a free offering - not a “trial” version. Used all last spring, summer and fall wirh no issues. When hiking season rolled around this year, the app wouldn’t launch without an upgrade. Probably would have been ok if I had been expecting, but instead feels like a bait and switch.

Does not function off-line.

Looks like a decent app, but if you use trails outside of cell service areas, as most people do, this app is worthless. On opening, the app looks for Internet, and if not found, all you get is an alert/dialogue telling you to connect to Internet, and the app cannot be accessed or used.

Great tracker

Faint drugs

Wow great tracker really cool

Great tracking app

Does everything I wanted as advertised. Good at keeping track of distance and elevation plus you can adjust the sensitivity.

Buyer Beware

rseybold99

This could be an interesting app if it worked. Every time I use the app on an iPhone 6 it fails after 6 - 8 waypoints when a picture is saved with the waypoint. In these cases the app merely disappears and all map, waypoint, and picture data is lost - no error indication and no recovery possible. Software failures are perfectly understandable but this company is evidently too busy to respond to any of the six requests for technical help I have sent in. I have requested a refund but doubt if I will receive any response here either. Before you buy this app consider that any bugs you report are not likely to be addressed.

This was originally free...

Downloaded the app back in early 2013. I have frequently used it for free until I tried to use it in June 2015, and I can't start a new trail without upgrading from the "free trial"? It's one thing to have an upgrade for new features, but to start surprise-charging users after two years for the same feature is crap. Very disappointed in this approach. Good app otherwise. I give it one star, but Trail Tracker: you can get an UPGRADED REVIEW of FIVE STARS for $2.99 now that you're out of MY trial period.

So far, so good

I have had the app for less than 24 hours, but I like it so far. It says you have to buy the full version (for 2 bucks) after the trial period is over & I am more than willing to spend the money.

The app does not import saved maps from email. It also does not import via cloud. This is too bad. Not good do not buy.

I think it's a great APP

Kaizenbruce

I use this for biking and walking. The settings are great and it's easy. You just open and hit start. Then when finished hit finished. The graph is cool and shows all the hills you hit while riding. I wish it had a route planning tool in it. If it did I would give it 5 stars.

Most Useful App

This app does everything it says it does. Recent add-ons such as waypoints and photo logging just make it better. Also, the lighting indicator is fantastic when on the golf course.
