Tradesy just went downhill

I USED to love this app because of the low fee they charged 2 years ago. All of a sudden they want to double the percentage & on top of that they take a transfer fee if you want to transfer your funds to your bank account. Over 20%? Cmon, so very greedy. Another thing I HATE about the app is it takes a month for you to get your funds for your sale. Ridiculous. Never again with this app, they lost a loyal member.

Be careful when ordering from this from Tradesy! I ordered purse for a birthday present and was told that it will be sent to me within seven business days it’s actually took 19 days to send it and when It came I wasn’t home to receive it the package was left on the porch and must’ve been taken. The seller sent it with no insurance so I still had to end up paying for something I didn’t receive! The staff was just like we can’t help you. Who leaves a over $400 package on a porch!

I recently referred a friend to get a Goyard bag from Tradesy. She had never used the app. I had had good experiences so I was excited for her. Sadly, the bag that she ordered was NOTHING like it was pictured or described. The bag had been so used that it was virtually see through. It had been advertised as “gently used” and nothing could be more far from this truth. She received the bag while she was traveling. So when she got home and contacted Tradesy the customer service she received was atrocious. They gave a rote response and kept repeating how she needed to contact them within 4 days of receiving the bag. They did NOTHING to remedy the situation. I get policies it is clear Tradesy is only in it for themselves and has no care about helping their customers. This woulda even been an easy situation to fix but they chose not to do anything to help. I will no longer be using Tradesy and I will warn others about them.

I’ve sold over $15,000 with this app in four years and it has gone downhill since I started with them. Tremendously! The consignment fee is now 19.8% PLUS they charge 2.9% to transfer the funds to your bank, PayPal or debit card. Not to mention when THEY run a sale they make you take the HIT. For example, if I’m selling something for $60 and they run a 15% off sale. The item is on sale for $51 now. (If you don’t agree to the sale your item sits at the bottom of the totem pole) With the 19.8% you get $40.90 PLUS if you offer free shipping that subtracts another $10.50 which leaves you with $30.40. NOW you want your money, they take 2.9%. So deduct another .89 and you are left with $29.51 profit. 50% of your selling item price is GONE. PLUS it takes SEVEN business days to get your money after the fact and can take up to 21 days for the money to even show up as transferable. So you could potentially wait an entire month before you see your piddly $29.51. Stick with other apps where there is a flat commission, they take the hit on their sales and provide priority shipping at the cost of the buyer. I will NEVER use this app again.

First off the fees...20% of top then another 2.9% to transfer your money. ARE YOU KIDDING ME..... oh and let’s not forget it’s takes 3 freaking weeks for the to release the money to ensure the buyer is pleased!!!! By the way, the buyer can return the item not in the condition it was found in and you have to just accept!!!!!!! SELL YOUR MERC ELSEWHERE!!!!

Used to be my favorite app for selling unwanted items clustering my closet...not anymore! I have to say their customer service is getting more and more unsatisfying by the day. They are very snappy and don't give you a chance to express your concerns. Also, there's way too many unnecessary upgrades causing app freezes. They keep increasing their commission almost every quarter of the year lol. I'm just so disappointed in Tradesy because no one seem to care bad reviews or not. Tradesy needs to do better as a whole and in general but then again, it’s not really about the customers anymore...or is it??? Lol!!!

Make sure you return your item within 4 days. I was hospitalized and thought they might make an exception for such a serious circumstance. I wasn’t able to return the item within those 4 days and they couldn’t make an exception at all. Just make sure or else you’ll be paying for something that you really don’t want. Otherwise it’s a great company but they’ll get you with their return policy.
