I love Tradesy , great items and you can catch at a fair price .. love the affirm option at check you buy now pay later allows me to buy the things I want when I want them for a small monthly fee instead of all at one time . ❤️❤️

I have been using Tradesy for a few years as a seller and as a buyer, but the fees keep rising and now it’s the platform with the highest selling fees that I use. On top of the 20% commission that they already receive off of your sales, you’ll have to pay them 2.9% more when you want to withdraw your own funds. Seriously? Also recently I’ve been getting a ton of annoying notifications along the lines of “Your $100 off expires now”, which is a complete scam, because when you click into it it’s always like “$100 off when you spend $1000” which is hardly a deal at all. Not to to mention, I’ve turned off all the notifications for this app except for alerts when my items sell, and these notifications keep coming. Please stop! Update: Will be deleting the app due to the spam notifications. It’s a wonder how the app can have an issue going on for this long, especially with all the commission you guys make off of sellers. Coding is not that difficult and hiring the right people can easily solve this problem.. Surely you guys aren’t lacking in the funds department to have someone address the problem.

This is not the app it once was for me. I’m trying to sell wardrobe basics that honestly are “high end” to a lot of American households—not everyone can afford J.Crew and Coach. All the marketing emails I get are irrelevant—I don’t buy Louis Vuitton purses at the frequency they are promoted. What was with the LV toilet?! And the whole concept of “trading in” what I won’t wear to buy what I want is broken if my “under $100” items don’t sell. It wasn’t always like this, once upon a time I had decent sales on Tradesy. Commission increases may have killed them? It just feels very scattered. Either be exclusively high end and split off the other “lower end” business (see Grailed for a men’s example), or recognize that people need low cost basics as well. I’m also not thrilled with paying a “safe transfer fee” to receive my money to my bank or PayPal. If I’m paying that, I expect a faster transfer. Other apps are next day.
If you want your earnings in a reasonable amount of time don’t use this app.

I completed a sale on June 2, was delivered to the customer on June 6. I initiated a transfer to my PayPal Account on June 27 and my funds have yet to be deposited (today is July 11). Your money is not available for transfer to your bank account or PayPal account until 21 days after. THEN you have to wait another 7 or more days after to have money transferred to your PayPal account. Customer service is via email and most is pre-scripted. There are definitely better selling apps out there than this one!
Seller canceled order on my first order

Wish they would talked to me prior to canceling my 1st order lost my $50 discount because I moved and needed to update my address! My order was canceled by the seller after I updated it! Was disappointed because I had emailed them to let them know it would be done immediately! I simply forgot i opened my account when I was at my old house! Thankful I was able to have a successful transaction with another seller!
takes way too long to receive funds

On top of taking ~20% commission and then an extra ~3% to transfer to PayPal, it just takes way too long to receive the funds. Up to 21 days to your Tradesy account and then another 7 days to your PayPal. (They responded saying it’s usually shorter, but it NEVER has been. It’s practically a month from when an item is sold to receiving the money, which is ridiculous).

I decided that I wanted to sell some designer pieces that I have but I’ve never tried using these apps before. I came across Tradesy so I thought I would give it a try. Thank I only started with two items. They sold quickly which was great but then the 20% commission??? Fine I can deal with that but seriously an additional 2+% to transfer the money!! HORRIBLE! But wait it gets worse, you have to wait 21 to actually payout!! I seriously regret trying this app!

I have sold on multiple sites for a long time. This one is by far the biggest headache. The customer service is terrible. They do not help sellers in any way. You're lucky if you get a response. I have shipped out 4 items that I never received my payment from because they wouldn't take my tracking number! It has been months now- still no help! They also hold your money and take more than other sites. As a seller I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

I have been selling on Tradesy this calendar year and poshmark. My biggest complaint and issue with Tradesy is the pay out turn around and fees. Ridiculous! I second, third and amen all the sentiments posted regarding payout turn around, fees, and non existent customer service. I’m taking this app OFF my phone and definitely NOT selling anything on there...anymore. Effective Immediately! ??
