Outstanding App

Norehtzz

I have been looking for an app like this for a long time. Since downloading it, I use it multiple times a day, everyday. It's fast, clean, seamlessly integrates with the computer version of Todoist, and keeps me organized and on track. I love it. One big suggestion: make hyperlinks available as parts of list items. Right now, if I want to refer to a specific Google doc or site, I have a super-long, ugly URL taking up space on my list!

This is the one...

As a serial investigator of to-do apps (Omni Focus, Asana, Task Paper, and many, many others) I have finally found a home with Todoist. I love the natural language task entry, the clean interface and the best part -- I'M WAY MORE PRODUCTIVE. That's right, I'm getting stuff done.

Good app needs more

Robert Weissfisch

Overall this is a good app and it works most of the time on the Apple Watch, but it really needs more. Being that this is a paid app you'd expect it to have some type of calendar integration so you can view your calendar events alongside your tasks the same way you can with: Fantastical, Omnifocus 2, GoodTask3, iCalendar, 24me & many others. Once this app includes a calendar and a better calendar subscription that syncs well then I'll be glad to use it daily and increase my rating.

A good app

A good app worth the money. It increased productivity in my life

Just charge up front instead of...

Just charge up front instead of collecting my information for an account, and then trying to force an upgrade to allow basic features like reminders. Sleazy tactic.

The best app out there

Dizfunctions

Fast updates, great feature expansion, active dev and support team, and premium is amazing. Easily my favorite to do app to date.

Glitches

Hammer00001

Have been using the app for about a year. Relatively straight forward, but not very intuitive. The glitches in the latest updates have been really annoying though. The app display turns sideways after a task has been scheduled. Really annoying on a tablet.

Features being removed!

Ryko76

It seems ToDoist is removing features from the app. This new version removed the ability to use the app in horizontal mode completely unless you're on an iPhone 6+ or larger devices. This is really disappointing as the app is MUCH more useful when you can type on the wide keyboard. Very poor update done without usability in mind.

Good Organization Features but Commenting needs work

The Guy Behind The Guy

Was using Wunderlist which is great but really liked how you could swipe to change the due date in Todoist. Especially being able to tap tomorrow, next week. Unfortunately, basic features like reminders and comments are Premium so there was no choice but to pay the $30. Turns out everything besides postponing the date is clunky and requires lots of back and forth and tapping. Posting due dates is a swipe and a tap away but you need to tap another tiny icon to set a reminder and then type in the time you want. I just kind of stopped using reminders. Parent projects and tasks are great and you can even go multiple levels deep for subtasks of subtasks but sometimes I just want write "call" or "confirm meeting" and having it as a child task with its own comments and tags and flags is overkill so I end up just making it a comment in the original task and then never see it. Tags and flags add to organization but require too many taps and end up in the text of the reminder while editing which gets messy. The worst though is comments, especially on the desktop apps. Too many taps and when you save the comments and go back to the list, you're back at the top of the list and need to scroll and hunt for the next task. I feel like I'm getting lost. The tap/click logic is different between the mobile apps and the desktop/web. When you tap a task in the mobile app, an icon draw shows under the task with different icons like tagging, snoozing, reminders but when you click a task in the desktop/web version, you edit the task name, which is so thing you almost never want to do. It also hides the comment icon. Now you have to click cancel and click a tiny little comment icon at the end of the title to view or add comments. If you go back and forth between mobile and desktop version, it can be frustrating. Overall there's a lot of possible organizational abilities but commenting really needs work and really slows me down to the point where I think about going back to Wunderlist.

Amazing! My productivity has def. increased!

If I get a raise this year, I'm going to credit it to Todoist. Something about the positive reinforcement of "karma" and the ease of the task check off has made me much more productive than my old paper and pen to do list before. I have recommended it to all of my coworkers too. It's a great way to organize daily work and personal tasks!
