Can’t use it offline

kiz2015

Seriously? I have to create an account to use this whether I intend to sync or not? I’ve had Todo 6 on my phone for quite awhile but haven’t used it. I like what it can do, but I’ve been pretty loyal to a different task manager for years. It too is subscription based. That’s not my beef. No, it’s the fact that the revenue goes mainly toward just keeping pace with Apple’s updates and almost nil toward adding additional features. I thought it might be time for a change. But maybe it’s not so bad after all. At least with that one, I can choose whether or not to give the developer access to my private data via their cloud server. No thank you.

Very Good...

I love the application and use it often however my lists by date are always out of order alphabetically and I really wish they would add a sort option of - Date, Alphabetical or give me the ability to design my own from a set of options. That would be Excellent!!!

Loved it, now deleted it

Bought this for storing my todos locally. Had a great UI. Appigo pushed an update forcing users to upgrade to their cloud version and removed ability to use the app that I bought. Please bring back the locally stored version.

From great, to data threat

Used to be great. Now unusable for anyone working with confidential data. It copies everything to their cloud without regard for the type of data in your todo list / notes. If your todo lists include any account info, HR related tasks, scientific data, confidential client info, private meeting notes, court cases, license or insurance #s, personal notes, etc... you now have the choice to give them all your data, or leave. 10 should have been rolled out as a separate app. It now breaks data compliance policies, and is required to be deleted.

This is a sell job, not an update

For my purposes the app works fine, and I’ve purchased two paid versions over the years. Now the App Store icon on my iPhone shows a “update banner,” but it is not an update at all, but a sideways attempt to sell a subscription service. I think the developer should be ashamed, and Apple needs to be more diligent about letting these things slide through. I will actively look for a new To-Do type app.

Subscription Fee?

I used this app for years as my one and only task app but as soon as they removed basic features and put them behind a subscription fee, I was done. The fact that I can’t set up recurring tasks with out a subscription fee is ridiculous. I refuse to use this app now.

Appigo Replaced Paid Todo Apps w/ Subscription Versions

RepentantFan

So after years of paying for Appigo’s apps, we are repaid by having our working apps replaced without our permission with ones that require a subscription. If the dev wanted to start requiring a subscription, then they should have created a separate release and let the existing versions die off. With Appigo’s actions, I will never suggest their apps again.

Needs an Offline ONLY Version that Doesn’t Force Sync with the Cloud

Happy FORMER User

This was a great app till they forced users to sync their data to the cloud and removed the offline version. There are many people who don’t want to have their data on someone’s server where it can be hacked/stolen and are more than happy to sync and backup with a cable to their desktop. This may seem old school to some but it ultimately is far more secure if you regularly backup your desktop. The interface on ToDo is phenomenal and the best thought out UI and features I’ve found. It seems the reason for requiring syncing to the cloud is driven by a desire to justify collecting a regular fee. Collect a fee annually or for each time IOS/MacOS has a major update. There are many of us who would be more than happy to pay it just don’t force us to put our data in the cloud.

Dissapointed. No customer support.

As a long-time premium user I am very disappointed About the recent upgrade to the cloud service. After upgrading my app it no longer syncs to the website and it has been a week since I created a service ticket and have had no response. Also, emailing tasks in to todo no longer creates a task for some reason that they have yet to figure out. I will be forced to look for other options.

Betrayed

I did not want to upgrade from ToDo 8 (which I paid for years ago and I assume own a license for ToDo 8.). Now, without my authorization, I have ToDo 10 installed on my iPhone, and all of my tasks are gone. Everything is wiped out! And this ToDo company has the audacity to inform me that I can subscribe to their service for ~$20/yr. I had been syncing with iCloud. Well F.U. ToDo! I’m deleting your app from my iPhone. I hope you get slapped with a class action lawsuit.
