Forced upload to extort more money from me

Loved the app and used it all the time until they forced me to upgrade to 10 and use their sync service for a fee of course. I don’t care if it’s still a good app, that is unethical business practices and I won’t use them anymore.


Do not update!

If you bought and use Todo 8 and replace it with this „update“ you will need to buy a subscription after a year. You will not be able to use the app without this subscription and Todo 8 is no longer available on the App Store. For me this „update“ is a trick to get more subscriptions and make you pay a monthly fee although you already paid for the app. Like me a lot of people just click „update all“ and then Todo 8 is gone. Apple should not allow such tricks. And how can I get rid of the „update“ on my list? Because from now on I have to be very careful and choose every app I want to update individually. Thanks to Appigo.


BEWARE! Update Destroys List

With the recent update, my entire todo list was removed. This should NEVER happen, and I had no warning. Now I’m left trying to recall the things on my list—exactly the thing I have tried to avoid by utilizing such an app. DO NOT USE THIS APP, unless you’re great at remembering every item on your list.

Used for years until the recent upgrade to 10. You can say sorry all you want, and I will say so long! Wow, what a bad and disappointing move guys.


Lost all my data

I loved this app and literally had years of data saved in it. I even paid the $20 a year for the premium version. When it updated to the new todo10 it lost EVERYTHING and I’m devastated. Will 100% be switching to a new app after this. Update : after contacting the developer they were able to recover my data. I do wish it was a more seamless transition from 8 to 10 but I am happy that they were able to quickly resolve the problem for me. I had a major freak out for several days. Haven’t had any major complaints about the new system except for when you create a new task you can’t immediately edit the details to set a due date, priority, etc. It automatically get saved for the current day, then you have to go in a find it and then edit it. I noticed a few other reviews had the same problem.

But I refuse to go from $0/yr to ~$50/yr for a personal to-do list. The fact that I’ve got more than 50 items in my list is BULL. I’m not going to pay $50/yr for a 150 item list. I’m retired so there’s no question of me using the list for business. Also I need to sync between iPhone & desktop. V10 has no desktop interface. Bye-bye To-Do!


Not a fan of the current version

I have two major gripes. One is it syncs too much. When I’m trying to make a checklist it continuously syncs and is tedious beyond belief. My second problem is the lack of customization. The last version of ToDo allowed me to customize the screen to white on black text. Pretty sure I’m going to move on to a new task manager.

I’ve used this app for years. They “upgraded” it and now there’s no where to put time of an event, it takes multiple clicks to get the event set up (it defaults to right now so you have to make extra steps to get it on the right day with notes). My to do list that comes free on my iPhone is a better value. I’m copying down my dates and deleting the app. Today... they added a step where you have to sign on!!!! It’s worthless.

I had many years worth of records in this application and after the upgrade they started to get deleted. Now they are all gone and I have years of data records lost. The developer has NO solution other than ‘We’re sorry’. That doesn’t help!!! I will be deleting this and looking at other products.

If you are truly a legitimate company, you would have an option to refund the money we paid for since you are forcing us to update to a subscription plan... Or or at least increase the tasks limit from 50 to 100 for the free subscription. I challenge you to make things right!
